'MAFS' Season 15: Fans label Stacia as 'intense' for 'pushing' Nate to talk about his absent mother

Fans called out Stacia as they believed she was making Nate 'relive his trauma' in the name of 'connecting'

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA: As the couples of 'Married At First Sight' gear up to move in together, they now have to deal with all the issues that come with being married. From talking finances to the future, the cast has to be open and honest, if they plan on making things work.

Stacia and Nate have had fans worried right from the get-go. Be it Nate's behavior during his bachelor party or Stacia being set in her way, it looks like the couple had their own set of issues. And now, as they start to open up more, it seems to be evident that they aren't as similar as they claim to be.

As the couple sat down with Pastor Cal, Stacia noted that she was not connecting with Nate on a deeper level. While they both spoke about how they had one absent parent, Nate, he seemed to want nothing to do with his mother at all. No matter how much Stacia tried to get him to address the issue, Nate expressed that he genuinely had no thoughts about the situation. While Stacia hoped he'd open up more to her and while he reassured her he would, she still felt worried about the same. Fans were on Nate's side of the situation, seeing that they believe you can't force people to communicate. 

"Stacia is so intense. I'm going need her to lighten up and not get so deep so fast. Nate seems about as shallow as a puddle. So I don't think Stacia gonna get any real deep feelings from him #mafs" tweeted a fan. "My issue with Stacia/Nate is that everyone doesnt express themselves the same way. Im really trying to figure out if Stacia is expecting Nate to fall to his knees in tears about his mother. What else is supposed to say about someone he doesnt have a relationship with? #mafs" added another. "OMG. Stacia acts like she's Nate's mom! This marriage will be her always being the one leading & teaching Nate on everything...good & bad. #MarriedAtFirstSight #MAFS" said a fan. "Nate doesn’t have much depth to him, or at least isn’t showing it He seems like he’s so focused on maintaining a “mature” image that he’s not being himself. The Nate we’re seeing now is very different than the Nate we saw at the bachelor party. #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight" tweeted a user. "The way Stacia is pushing Nate to relive his trauma for the sake of “connecting” is annoying me. People who have experienced the same situation don’t necessarily respond the same way. She didn’t learn this in all the therapy she keeps talking about? #mafs" wrote a fan.
