The Covid-19 storyline is finally making its way to the CBS crime drama 'MacGyver'. Season 5 Episode 5 makes its debut on Friday, January 15, 2021, and has the title 'Jack + Kinematics + Safe Cracker + MgKNO3 + GTO' where we saw how with a cryptic postcard as their only clue, Angus 'Mac' MacGyver (Lucas Till) and the team solved a friend's final case, finding him justice. Season 5 Episode 6 episode, 'Quarantine + N95 + Landline + Telescope + Social Distance' is set to bring out the basics of what everyone had gone through in the real world. As you can see that quarantine is part of the episode title, so that makes sense not to mention, social distance and N95 which are the masks that were advised to be used, are also part of the episode title. You must be wondering about what the 'landline' and 'telescope' bit means and we have to say that while the team has to quarantine, the cases simply don't stop, do they?
When will Season 5 Episode 6 air?
The next episode titled 'Quarantine + N95 + Landline + Telescope + Social Distance' will premiere on Friday, January 22, 2021. The official synopsis of the episode reads, "During COVID-19's first stay-at-home order Mac, Wilt Bozer (Justin Hires), and Riley Davis (Tristin Mays) quarantine together, they try to stop a crime in progress at their neighbor's house. Also, Russ Taylor's (Henry Ian Cusick) romantic fling takes on a longer and more complicated turn when they quarantine together."
Some reports claim that the episode will be set in the past, where it'll go back to see how the characters were working amid the pandemic Although Russ's story seems to be the center of attention mainly due to his personal reasons and we're glad they are bringing up valid points as to how quarantine, changed everyone's lives, especially that of people that lived with their significant others. The episode will focus on the health crisis, its impact and what it was like living through the coronavirus spread.
