MONTVILLE, NEW JERSEY: During the Tuesday, May 9 episode of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,' Luis Ruelas nearly begged Teresa Giudice to remove her 'manipulative' brother, Joe Gorga, from their wedding. His unexpected remark surprised not only his wife but also Bravo viewers.

Teresa and Luis were busy putting the finishing touches on their wedding seating arrangements at their home. When Luis asked Teresa how her bridal shower went, Teresa went on a rant about Melissa's actions not matching up with what was truly happening behind closed doors. On Tuesday's episode of 'RHONJ,' Luis officially lost it and insulted his brother-in-law, Joe Gorga. Viewers who were formerly regarded him as the family's 'mediator' are now reconsidering their sentiments for the Bravo star.

'Do not let Joe Gorga interfere in your life'

Teresa apparently felt compelled to track Melissa out in order to learn whether she and Joe Gorga would be attending the rehearsal dinner and brunch the morning following the wedding. Teresa revealed Luis' text messages she and Melissa exchanged, and it appeared that Melissa just found out about the separate events a few days before the wedding. Melissa stated that they reserved the wedding day, so they could attend, but because they were only learning about the other activities and had already made plans for those days, they would have to skip out. Teresa was snippy in her text response, informing Melissa that if she had looked at the RSVP in the first place, she would have seen the other activities. Disregarding, "You know there’s going to be a rehearsal dinner the night before a wedding," Teresa said to Luis.

Luis stated Melissa and Joe Gorga made him "sick," but Teresa blamed Melissa the most. She claims Joe's actions are the consequence of Melissa "being in his ears all these years," while Luis claims no one is making amends. He stated that everyone enjoys blaming one another. He went on to say that Teresa's ex-husband, Joe Giudice, had called him after hearing about the family strife through Gia Giudice and told him, "He literally said to me, 'Do not let Joe Gorga interfere in your life, because he's gonna try to do that. He's gonna feel intimidated. He's insecure.'"

Teresa then made an outrageous accusation, claiming that she and Joe Giudice had only ever clashed because of her brother. Luis labeled Joe Gorga "trash" and stated that if they marry, he will not allow anybody to cause turmoil in Teresa's life in the same way.

'This is a very different Luis'

Seeing Luis flipping sides every other day, fans are certainly not happy. One tweeted, "Luis is either bipolar, coked up or supremely manipulative. The pendulum swings too drastically! One week it's peace, the next week it's war. This d***he can't decide if he wants to be the villian or the victim." One viewer noted, "This is a very different Luis than the “peacemaker” and “mediator” we saw earlier in the season." One user tweeted, "I need to find that tweet someone sent me where they said abusers make it seem like they’re the one person the person they’re abusing needs. That’s precisely what Luis is doing in this scene." A fourth viewer also noted, "Listening to Luis talk about manipulating and gaslighting is truly rich coming from the number 1 narcissist this show has EVER seen."

After the episode, viewers tweeted, "Am I the only one who’s thinking Louie is the true villain here?" Comparing the two brothers-in-law, one tweeted, "Joe Gorga might be a tad crazy, but I sincerely think Louis 10x more manipulative, toxic and shady. And I do feel like Louis did the Gorga’s dirty and is playing the victim for sympathy and popularity." Referring to Luis' faux pas from the previous episode, one tweeted, "Louie, we just saw you on camera accidentally revealing you’ll be intentionally excluding joe and Melissa. Now all of a sudden you’re saying you’ve been nice to them? This is a con man pulling off a massive scam on a d*mmy." Calling out Luis, one further noted, "Louie is NASTY. He manipulates Teresa, tries to manipulate the audience by pretending to be a peacemaker, and is only with Teresa for the fame. He is horrible for her and widening the divide between Teresa and Joe way worse than anything Melissa has ever said or done."
