‘Lucifer’ Season 5 Preview: Eve comes back for final season but is it for Lucifer or Maze?
As the fifth and final season of Netflix’s ‘Lucifer’ inches closer, our anticipations are running high! And recent news tells us that one of the key characters from the last season will make a comeback and it’s one of the biggest surprises. The first look of Season 5 reveals that Eve, played by Inbar Lavi, will be back for the last chapter of Lucifer’s journey from hell to earth and back. Now that she will, we are wondering if her return is driven towards Lucifer (Tom Ellis) or Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt).
Throughout the last season we saw Eve play a very important role in Lucifer’s life. After being cursed with mortality, Eve escapes heaven and comes back to earth to find her long-lost love Lucifer. The two get back together and have a good ride until Lucifer realizes that Eve was only back for her selfish interest. In the meantime, Maze falls in love with Eve but Eve breaks her heard.
When Season 4 ended, we saw Eve leaving both Maze and Lucifer on their own and we have no idea where she was headed next.
Talks are that Eve will be making guest appearances throughout the season. But most importantly, she will be the first woman to be seen in the final season. Also, the way season 4 ended, we have all the reasons to believe that Eve will have some action in store for us, the next time we see her. And that time is near.
The question is, will Eve come back for Lucifer or for Maze? Either is possible because she also developed a soft corner for Maze and since they stuck around as girlfriends, we don’t see why these two women cannot get together. On the other side, if she comes back for Lucifer, it could either be to help him get out of his “hellish” situation (i.e. get him back to earth) and get him and Chloe together, or to woo him back in her life. As of now, anything is possible, and when it comes to those from Hell and Heaven, well, we know that our speculations are too negligible.
In a recent report by Entertainment Weekly, Inbar Lavi, the actor who plays Eve, shared a shot from the new season, which gives us a hint as to how she would have evolved from her previous look.
Even fans of ‘Lucifer’ cannot hold their excitement on Eve’s comeback. One fan comments,“RT'ing myself becausebecausebecause EVE IS BACK! WHEEEEEE!
