Marco Donatelli’s ‘double standard’ called out as ‘Love Island USA’ alum takes stand for villa ladies
MAMANUCA ISLANDS, FIJI: Marco Donatelli's recent comments in support of the ladies on 'Love Island USA' Season 6 have sparked controversy among fans. Many viewers have called out what they see as a "double standard" in his stance. Marco, who was a contestant and winner on a previous season of the show, spoke up about the unfair treatment of the women in the villa. "Bold group of boys, raising their tones toward female," commented Donatelli under the post.
However, fans quickly pointed out that during his own time on the show, Marco was often demeaning and disrespectful towards the female contestants himself. They found it hypocritical for Marco to criticize the behavior of others when he himself had displayed similar negative traits and that Marco taking a stand for the ladies now was rich coming from someone who never showed them respect on his season.
"Marco said a lot of shady a** things towards the girls in his season, so this is hypocritical as fuck," said one. "He is right, but it doesn’t mean a lot coming from someone who a) says ‘females’ and b) was incredibly disrespectful to women on multiple occasions during his season," said another.
"So he just gone like we didn’t see the shit he said to the women during his season? Also men who use the word “females” is the biggest ick," added one fan. "I honestly can't remember if Marco was ever like this last year," added other fan.
Is Marco Donatelli still together with Hannah Wright?
Hannah and Marco, winners of 'Love Island USA' are still together and navigating a long-distance relationship. Hannah lives in California, while Marco resides in Florida. Despite the physical distance between them, they are committed to making their relationship work.
Marco has expressed confidence in their bond, stating that he isn't worried about the distance and that Hannah is the only distraction he needs. "We just complement each other so well. This journey has been a roller coaster of emotions . . . Just to stand here as the last couple that America’s chosen is truly an honor," Marco said.
Who are the contestants left on 'Love Island USA' season 6 now?
