Leonardo Dionicio hails from a competitive athlete family

Notably, Leonardo comes from a family deeply rooted in athletics, and his family tree boasts a diverse background of sporting excellence. His twin sister, Giovanna, is currently on the soccer team at Yale University. Meanwhile, Leonardo's older brother, Danny Hussey, made his mark in the world of baseball, playing for UMass-Amherst. Because of his family background, Leonardo knows what it takes to stand out from the crowd, which will surely come in handy while traversing through the challenges faced in 'Love Island USA'. As a former Division I baseball player, his athletic prowess is undeniable, and he was also a part of Dayton Flyers, a college baseball team for the University of Dayton in Ohio.

What is Leonardo Dionicio looking for on 'Love Island USA' Season 5?

Leonardo is looking for a woman with a "beautiful smile" and a "crazy physique," rather similar to his celebrity crush, Eva Mendes. He is known to use eye contact, funny sayings, and his Spanish skills to impress women, and believes that he can "see a red flag from a mile away," which is the reason behind his singlehood. Moreover, according to his 'Love Island USA' Season 5 profile, Leonardo thinks men these days have trouble getting women because they rely on "cheesy pickup lines," so viewers can definitely expect to see judgemental looks from him if other contestants end up using the mushy phrases.

Peacock's 'Love Island USA' Season 5 started premiering on Tuesday, July 18, and new episodes will be available to stream at 9 pm ET. Subsequently, the episodes will be released on Thursdays through Tuesdays exclusively on Peacock.
