'Love & Anarchy': Meet Ida Engvoll and the rest of the cast of Netflix's romantic comedy
The Swedish comedy-drama coming to Netflix, titled 'Love & Anarchy' follows Sofie, a married woman with two kids who gets into a heated flirty game with IT technician Max. While their weird and secret challenges to each other seem to be funny at first, later on, the unforeseen circumstances of their dares begin to take an unexpected turn. Here is the international cast bringing this series to life.
Ida Engvoll as Sofie
Engvoll is an actor and producer known for her roles in 'A Man Called Ove' (2015), 'Rebecka Martinsson: Arctic Murders' (2017), 'White Trash' and 'Beck' (2009). 'White Trash' is currently in post-production. Her other recent works include her roles as Therese in the TV series 'Bonusfamiljen' (2017-2018), Yvette in 'Andra Åket' (2018), and Izzy in 'Secret Chord' (2019). In 2017, she was nominated for a Kristallen for Best Actress for 'Rebecka Martinsson'.
Reine Brynolfsson as Friedrich Jägerstedt
Brynolfsson is known for his roles in 'Les Miserables' (1998), 'Ofelia kommer til byen' (1985), 'The Bomber' and 'Paradise' (2003). He currently has two releases titled 'Se upp för Jönssonligan' (2020) and 'A Royal Secret' (2021) in post-production. His other works include 'Golden Brown Eyes' (2007), 'Kungamordet' (2008), 'Änglagård - Tredje gången gillt' (2010), 'Shed No Tears' (2013) and 'Under the Pyramid' (2016). The actor was nominated for two Guldbagge Awards - one in 1997 for Best Supporting Actor for 'Jerusalem' (1996) and one in 2018 for Best Actor for 'Korparna' (2017). He also won for Best Actor at the 1986 Danish Film Awards for 'Ofelia kommer til byen'.
Björn Kjellman as Ronny Johansson
Kjellman is known for his roles as Reine in 'Breaking Out' (1999), Candy Darling in 'Once in a Lifetime' (2000), Thomsen in 'Old, New, Borrowed and Blue' (2003) and Adam in 'Adam & Eva' (1997). His other works include 'Fallet' (2017), 'Honour' (2019), and 'Børning 3' (2020). Kjellman won for Best Actor at the 2003 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival for 'Se til venstre, der er en svensker' (2003) and a Guldbagge for Best Actor for 'Vägen ut' (1999). He was also nominated for a Guldbagge for Best Actor for 'Adam & Eva'. In 1990, he was nominated for a European Film Award for European Supporting Actor of the Year for 'Skyddsängeln' (1990).
Johannes Kuhnke as Johan Rydman
Kuhnke is an actor known for his roles as Tomas in 'Force Majeure' (2014), Rick in 'Real Humans' (2012-2014), Man 3 in 'The House That Jack Built' (2018) and Anders in 'Jag kommer hem igen till jul' (2019). His recent works include 'The Bird Catcher' (2019), 'Fartblinda' (2019), 'The Spy' (2019), 'Course in Self-annihilation' (2019), 'Thin Ice' (2010) and 'Tigers' (2020). He has a release titled 'Dune Dreams' in post-production and a release titled 'Red Dot' in pre-production. In 2015 he was nominated for a Guldbagge for Best Actor for 'Turist' (2014) and in 2020 he was nominated for the same award, in the same category for 'Jag kommer hem igen till jul' (2019).
Disa Östrand as Tove-Lee Ljungström
Östrand is known for her roles as Eva in 'Shed No Tears' (2013), Cilia in the TV series '30° i februari' (2016), and Johanna in 'Lyckoviken' (2020). Her recent works include 'Secret Chord' (2019), 'Inspector Montalbano' (2020), 'When the Dust Settles' (2020), and '12:13' (2020). She has a release titled 'Shop' that is listed as filming. Östrand is also a director and writer - she is known to have directed and wirtten 'Dani' (2019).
The rest of the cast includes Björn Mosten as Max Järvi, Carla Sehn as Caroline Dahl, Gizem Erdogan as Denise Konar, Ruben Lopez as Tom Rosén, Elsa Agemalm Reiland as Isabell Rydman, Ejke Blomberg as Alex Ulyanov, Lars Väringer as Lars Fagerström, Yasmine Garbi as Elin, Lisette Pagler as Michelle Krauss and many more.
Netflix's synopsis reads: "When Sofie, a career-driven consultant and married mother of two, gets an assignment to modernize an old publishing house she meets young IT technician Max, and an unexpected flirtatious game begins. Sofie and Max secretly challenge each other to do things that question societal norms. It starts innocently enough, but as the game gets more and more daring the consequences grow beyond proportions."
