'Long Island Medium' Season 14: Theresa Caputo brings her youngest skeptic to tears with message from dead sister

Theresa Caputo meets a family of three as they hope to reconnect with their loved ones with the help of Theresa Caputo.

'Long Island Medium' is back with another season and this time Theresa Caputo is all set to help families get closure as she communicates with their loved ones. In the season premiere Caputo meets a family of three who come to the reality star with the hopes of finding some answers. The family comprises wife, Renee, husband, Peter and their son, Mathew (Matt).

While Renee and Peter seemed optimistic, Matt, on the other hand, seemed skeptical about the whole medium experience. He confessed that it was the first time he was coming to a reading like this. Renee stated that she wanted Matt to be part of the reading because she believed he was a "very mature young man and I think it will help us".

Caputo told the trio that she constantly heard someone saying "mom" but also saw a mother figure. When she asked Renee if there was a mother who had departed she was quick to respond with a yes. Caputo then proceeded to ask if the pair had lost a child.

Renee replied yes to Caputo's question. "I don't normally see it that way. It's the way of validating that the souls are together on the other side," Caputo said. Renee further added, "Theresa saying that my mother and daughter are together mean the world to me."

However, it wasn't until Caputo spoke about a song that Matt started truly believing in Caputo and her gift. "I feel like your sister wants to say something to you but I don't know if you want to ask her something. You keep saying something to her," Caputo said.

Matt then added that there was a song that his mom constantly sang to her. Caputo quickly added that she was hearing the song "You are my sunshine" and Matt started giggling hearing her response. Renee added that they wrote the song and wanted her to sing it.

Caputo then stated, "Oh, you wanted me to be that specific? You are my youngest skeptic now. Renee said that Matt was having a hard time to accept that Caputo really had a gift and in order to prove this, he and Renee decided to write the song.

"This validates that she was with us at that exact moment," Caputo reflected. She further added that their daughter was "happy as she was dancing and spinning around". Caputo also stated that she could hear their daughter say that Matt hated her singing and would always want her to stop.

Matt broke into tears when Caputo remarked that his sister thought he was the best big brother. Even Renee and Peter could not hold back their tears but felt closer to their daughter.
