Admit it, we are all suckers for a good romance, especially an intense and dramatic love story filled with plot twists and the occasional struggle. Also, very few romantic stories are as entertaining, emotional and yet heart-breaking as a classic Spanish telenovela (television series). Netflix's latest offering is a reprisal of an iconic 1988 Colombian telenovela in a modern-day scenario, 'Living to Love' aka 'Amar y Vivir' in Spanish. 

Release date

The Colombian telenovela is slated for its digital release on Netflix on June 26.

Plot

Irene is the lead singer of the 'Los Milagosos', a market place band, and has a chance encounter with mechanic Joaquin, who arrives in the city with nothing but clothes on his back. As the events in the series transpire, the two cross paths while chasing their dreams and realize that they have fallen madly in love with each other. They are inseparable even though they battle their own challenges. The star-crossed lovers are determined to fight the forces against them and live their happily ever after.

Ana María Estupiñán

Ana María Estupiñán García is a Colombian actress and singer. She began her theatre career by pursuing it academically at the age of 12. Estupiñán is best known for her roles in 'La Niña' (2016), 'La Ronca de Oro' (2014) and 'Al Otro Lado del Muro'. She plays Irene in 'Living to Love'.

Carlos Torres

Carlos Torres is a Colombian actor who began his acting career in television. He debuted in the drama series 'Padres e Hijos'. His most notable television roles include 'Fransisco el Matemático', 'La Reina de Flow', 'Niñas Mal' and 'Sala de Urgencias 2'. Torres portrays Joaquin in 'Living to Love'.
