For the first time ever, Hollywood’s sweetheart, Reese Witherspoon, and primetime’s most-loved, Kerry Washington, will share the small screen in an upcoming show on Hulu. ‘Little Fires Everywhere’ is a suspenseful drama thriller that will feature the A-list stars in leading roles. The show is an adaptation of the 2017 bestseller of the same name, penned by Celeste Ng.

The streaming network released the first official trailer of the upcoming original series in December. And now, there's an extended version of the same where we see the leading ladies in a little more depth and it is sparking everyone's interest. Of course, it is mostly owing to the cast and the names behind the production. Both Witherspoon and Washington serve as executive producers of the show and will be seen in the main roles.

The plot follows the story of Elena Richardson (Witherspoon) and her family. She lives a picture-perfect life- an affluent home, husband, and children, and a lifestyle that any woman would die for. Or so it seems. Then she encounters Mia Warren (Washington) and her daughter. And then, everything changes. The mysterious mother and daughter and Elena’s fates will intertwine and result in unimaginable circumstances that will change everyone’s lives forever. Secrecy, motherhood, danger, and fierceness of the modern woman, all come together in this powerful story, promising an impactful watch. Set in Ohio, the plot sees each of these actors on opposite sides, exploring two very different lives and lifestyles. But the one thing that brings them together is motherhood and the inherent desire to be protective of their young ones.

For those who are unaware of the original novel, the plot has many twists and turns, with layered characters, which will make this series more interesting than it appears so far. And with stars like Witherspoon and Washington running the main show, we can only expect fireworks on screen, or wildfires, for that matter.

While you wait for the show to drop on the streaming network, take a look at the trailer that has everybody talking.

This is Witherspoon’s third venture on the small screen. She had earlier produced HBO’s Emmy Award winning series, ‘Big Little Lies’, along with Nicole Kidman and the show ended its second season. After that she also served as one of the executive producers for Apple TV’s ‘The Morning Show’. This will be the first time that we will get to see Witherspoon and Washington together, in the same show and in leading roles.

‘Little Fires Everywhere’ is all set to premiere on Hulu in March 2020.
