'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 Episode 3 Preview: 1940s gangsters, infernal socialites and Zari's return

We thought Zari may have been replaced by Behrad when history changed but it turns out she still exists in this new timeline. Considering Nate very recently discovered that Zari was his girlfriend before the shift, we're pretty sure that reunion is going to be pretty awkward.

After a week-long break, 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 is coming back with its third episode 'Miss Me, Kiss Me, Love Me'. It's a historical story with the Legends heading to Los Angeles in 1947 and it looks like it's going to be another killer episode with gangsters and gunfights aplenty.

Here's the official synopsis for the episode: "CANOODLING WITH THE ENEMY – When a new blip lands the Legends in 1947 Los Angeles, it puts them on the trail of Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel (Jonathan Sadowski) who seems to take pleasure in fraternizing with Hollywood Elite. Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) and John Constantine (Matt Ryan) devise a plan to capture him while Ava Sharpe (Jes Macallan) and Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell) sit on the sidelines for the time being. They soon realize that they need to worry less about Bugsy and more about his girlfriend. Ava is struggling with being on the sidelines with Rory.

"Meanwhile, Nate (Nick Zano) accompanies Behrad (guest star Shayan Sobhian) to his dad’s birthday, where Nate meets Behrad’s sister, Zari (Tala Ashe), who seems familiar to him. Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Olivia Swann also star in the series. David Geddes directed the episode written by Ray Utarnachitt," it added.

We were under the assumption that Zari had been replaced by Behrad when history changed but it turns out she still exists in this new timeline. Considering Nate very recently discovered that Zari was his girlfriend before the shift, we're pretty sure that reunion is going to be pretty awkward.

Speaking of awkward reunions, the upcoming episode will also be seeing Constantine heading to Hell to meet Astra Logue (Olivia Swann), who's basically a very ambitious socialite in the underworld.

A sneak peek for the episode released on YouTube shows the meeting going less than well, with Astra declaring that even if Constantine were to kill her, she would just end up back in Hell, essentially making her unstoppable (for now).

'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 airs new episodes every Tuesday exclusively on The CW.
