'Reacher' Season 4 casts 'Barry' and '90210' star as Alan Ritchson gives major update: 'The best season...'
The wait for the upcoming Season 4 of 'Reacher' might just have been cut shorter! While it was previously announced that filming for the next installment of Jack Reacher's misadventures is complete, a release date has yet to be announced. Nevertheless, as anticipation for season four of the Prime Video show keeps increasing by the day, a look at the cast of the next installment might be a good idea. As of this writing, only one returning actor has been confirmed, while another prominent player's status remains undisclosed. Additionally, several new cast members are featured due to the show's anthology format.
Season 4 of 'Reacher' is based on the 13th book in author Lee Child's bestselling novel series, 'Gone Tomorrow.' The official synopsis reads, "When a chance encounter with a distraught stranger on a train goes horribly wrong, Jack Reacher is drawn into a complex and deadly game that pits him against ruthless foes from the highest echelons of power." As expected, Alan Ritchson will reprise his leading role of Jack Reacher, and the Prime Video show is virtually incomplete without his towering presence. On the other hand, Maria Stern, who played Reacher's ally Frances Neagley over the past three seasons, hasn't yet been confirmed for season four. A spinoff featuring Stern, known as 'Neagley,' has been filmed, though a release date remains uncertain.
Moving on, Sydelle Noel is a new addition to the cast and will be seen as Tamara Green. Her character, who is referred to as Theresa Lee in 'Gone Tomorrow,' has been renamed for the show as an NYPD Homicide Detective. 'Barry' star Chris Marquette landed the role of Jacob Merrick, the police officer who joins forces with Reacher to apprehend a dangerous criminal conspiracy. Agnez Mo will be seen as Lila Hoth, described in the book as a member of a terrorist organization based in Afghanistan. Actress Anggun of 'Levitating' fame will portray the character of Lila's sister, Amisha Hoth. On the other hand, Kevin Weisman will play Russell Plum, and not much is known about his character at this point.
Marc Blucas, previously seen on 'My Life With The Walter Boys,' is another new cast member and will portray U.S. Congressman John Samson from North Carolina. Blucas will be joined by 'Bates Motel' actress Kathleen Robertson, who will appear as Samson's wife, Elsbeth Samson. Finally, Kevin Corrigan will be seen as Green's partner, Detective Docherty. It can be speculated that 'Reacher' season four will be released sometime this year, since Ritchson previously told Collider, "Well, we finished shooting Season 4 of Reacher." It’s by far the best season we’ve had yet, so it’s coming. It’ll be out this year." 'Reacher' is available on Prime Video.
