'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 Episode 3 won't air this week to make way for 'Arrow' finale

Considering the importance of 'Arrow', not just to the Arrowverse that it started but also to superhero shows in general, it makes sense that the network would want the last episode to get maximum attention

The documentary-style season opener 'Meet the Legends' set 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 to a strong start but fans of the series are going to have to wait a bit to see the next installment of the story that's unfolding on the show.

That's right, the show is already taking a break so Episode 3 'Miss Me, Kiss Me, Love Me' won't be airing this week.

But don't worry 'Legends' fans, the show will be back within a week with a trip to Los Angeles in the 1940s. The CW hasn't made any announcements yet explaining why the week-long absence right after the start of the season but the reasons are pretty obvious when you think about it.

'Arrow' Season 8 Episode 10, the season and series finale, will be airing on January 28 at 9 pm ET and The CW has an hour-long special planned that will be airing just before the episode.

Considering the importance of 'Arrow', not just to the Arrowverse that it started but also to superhero shows in general, it makes sense that the network would want the last episode of the series to get maximum potential attention.

After Oliver Queen / Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) sacrificed himself to save the multiverse in 'Crisis on Infinite Earths', his friends and family will be gathering to bid farewell.

The episode brings together a huge number of returning cast members including Joe Dinicol who plays Rory Regan/Ragman, Emily Bett Rickards who plays fan-favorite Felicity Smoak, and more.

Back to the 'Legends', star of the show and captain of the Waverider Sara Lance / White Canary (Caity Lotz) is also set to make an appearance during the 'Arrow' finale.

So even though it might be a while before we get back to the whole team, there will be a touch of the 'Legends' in the historic episode that truly marks the end of an era.

'Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 Episode 3 'Miss Me, Kiss Me, Love Me' will air exclusively on The CW on February 4.
