With 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 nearing its finale episode, it looks like a beloved star of the show will return for one last ride. Courtney Ford, who played Nora Darhk on the show until earlier this season when she and husband Brandon Routh exited the series, will be back in the finale but not as the evil sorceress turned Fairy Godmother we all love.

Preview images for Episode 15 'Swan Thong' show Courtney Ford as Marie Antoinette, the doomed queen of France, whom she has played earlier on the show this season. The synopsis for the finale teases that the Legends will face an army of Encores (resurrected souls of the evil dead) in their battle against the Fates. So it looks like Marie is going to be one of the historical villains squaring off against our beloved time-traveling superheroes. Ford and Routh's exit was a cause of heartbreak for fans of the show who really loved the couple's on-screen chemistry and the characters they have been playing for so long. While Routh's Ray Palmer / Atom has been a part of the series since the very beginning, Ford has been on the show for three seasons and she considers it an absolute gift.

"It's definitely been a process," Ford told TV Guide in March 2020 while talking about her exit. "It hasn't been simple and it's been very emotional and I can say that playing Nora Darhk for three seasons is the longest I've ever played a character. That's not a gift that all actors get to have, and I'm incredibly grateful to have spent so much time having the opportunity to develop a character and get to know her and grow with her. The fact that she is ending at a completely different place from where she started, it's a gift to me. I think it's a gift to trauma survivors."

While we're still not over the fact that Ford and Routh won't be around for future seasons, it'll still be great to see her one last time though it doesn't look like Routh will be doing the same.

Here's the synopsis for 'Swan Thong': "SEASON FINALE — Still controlled by the Fates, the Legends find themselves in a 1984-esque world, they soon discover that things aren’t as they thought they would be. The Legends must convince the civilians to trust them and stand up for their right to choose, but the Fates don’t make it easy by resurrecting the Encores once again. Caity Lotz, Jes Macallan, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano, Tala Ashe, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Olivia Swann, and Matt Ryan also star. Kevin Mock directed the episode written by Keto Shimizu & Morgan Faust."

'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 airs Tuesdays at 9 pm ET on The CW.
