Spoiler alert for 'Legacies' Season 2 Episode 14: 'There's a Place Where the Lost Things Go'

In this week's episode of 'Legacies', Emma Tig, previously a teacher at the Salvatore School conducts a different sort of therapy session for a group of students after the events of the last two episodes.

Hence, Rafael Waithe, Milton Greasley, Josie and Lizzie Saltzman, Hope Mikaelson, and Jade (the witch from the prison world) are put in a simulation created by the original Professor Rupert Vardemus.

In this simulation, each of these students take on different roles and Rafael becomes a photographer in the film noir world. In it, Hope asks him to look through his photos to figure out who is manipulating the game.

When Rafael develops his photos and sees something in it, he wakes up in the real world and does not remember what he saw. Later, he does remember who he saw in the photos, the Necromancer, but does not tell anyone about it.

Rafael was missing for a few episodes after he opted to stay with his father to recover from the PTSD of being stuck in wolf form for so long. When he was found later by MG, he was gagged and tied up. We never found out what had happened to him when he went missing. With him choosing to hide what he learned about the Necromancer being in the simulation, we think there might be more to what happened to Rafael when he was missing.

With just six episodes left in the season, Rafael's plotline could very well be tied to the overarching mystery of the season and fans are excited. One fan tweeted, "They never do Rafael justice even when it seems like they are giving him a storyline lol #legacies." Another tweeted, "#legacies finally a storyline for Rafael. I also do like Hope and Rafael together!"

Many are also theorizing that Rafael might have been killed and is now under the Necromancer's control. One tweeted, "So it was also pretty much confirmed that Rafael is dead and now one of the necromancer's zombies #legacies." Another tweeted, "Damn Rafael is probably the most damaged kid at that school and he’s just still going through it. I hope the Necromancer didn’t kill him for good. #Legacies."

'Legacies' airs on The CW on Thursday nights at 9/8c.
