'La Révolution': Meet Amir El Kacem, Marilou Aussilloux and rest of the cast of Netflix's reimagined French Revolution show

When a doctor tries to search for a clue on a murdered dead peasant and finds blue blood, it unravels the mysterious disease that has taken over the nobility

'La Révolution' is an upcoming French TV series set to release on Netflix that follows a "reimagined" French Revolution where Joseph Guillotin finds out about a virus that spreads among the noble, leading them to kill the commoners. Unless you are a fan of watching French releases, these actors and actresses may be unfamiliar to you. So, here is the cast that's bringing this beautiful eight-episode series created by Aurélien Molas to life.

Amir El Kacem as Joseph Guillotin

El Kacem is known for his roles as Yacine in 'Fast Convoy' (2016), Kévin in 'The Climb' (2017), Samir in 'Hippocrate' (2018-2019) and Mams in 'Down By Love' (2016). His other roles include the TV series 'Boulevard du Palais' (2013), 'Microbe & Gasoline' (2015), 'Prof T.' (2016), 'Abdel et la comtesse' (2018) and the TV movie 'Newcomers' (2019).

Aussilloux is known for her roles as Clara in 'Bye Bye Morons' (2020), Etudiante Fliquette in 'Looking for Teddy' (2018) and Chole Forrest from 'The Inside Game' (2018-2019). Her other works include the TV series, 'La loi de...' (2016), 'Call my Agent!' (2017), 'Raoul Taburin' (2018) and 'Relai' (2019).

Erdogan is known for his roles as Messenger Valet in 'Grace of Monaco' (2014), Paul in 'Family Business' (2017-2019) and Tom in 'Spiral' (2014-2020). His other works include 'Belle & Sebastian — The Adventure Continues' (2015), the TV series 'A Musée vous, à musée moi' (2018), 'Family Business' (2017-2019) and 'Marseille' (2016-2018). 

Coline Beal as Ophélie

Beal is known for her roles as La Rousse in 'Get In' (2019), Juliette in 'Florida' (2015), and Madeleine in 'Les enfants de la chance' (2016). Her other recent works include 'Alex Hugo' (2019), 'Stella' (2019) and 'Balthazar' (2019)

Gaia Weiss as Marianne

Weiss is not only an actress but also a French model and a ballet dancer. She is known for her roles as Porunn from 'Vikings' (2014-2014), Beatrice in 'White as Milk, Red as Blood' and Ward in 'Alien: Containment' (2019). Her recent works include 'Love In The Asylum' (2018), 'We are Boars' (2018), 'Judy' (2019), 'Medici' (2018-2019) and has one release titled 'Shepard' in post-production, in which she plays the role of Rachel Black.

Amélia Lacquemant as Madeleine

Lacquemant is known for her roles as La Fille de Bruno in 'Place des Victories' (2019), Asrid in 'Astrid et Raphaëlle Astrid' (2019) and Lou in 'Mike' (2019).

Other members of the cast include Doudou Masta, Julien Sarazin as a brotherhood member, Geoffrey Carlassare as a Noble, Mamadou Doumbia, Julien Frison as Donatien de Montargis, Isabel Aimé González-Sola as Katell, Laurent Lucas as Charles de Montargis, and Dimitri Storoge as Edmond de Pérouse.

The official plot from Netflix reads: "In a reimagined history, a mysterious disease besets 18th century France, culminating in a brutal clash between rebels and the aristocracy." The French-language drama is set in 1787 and will follow the future inventor of the guillotine as he uncovers a disease – Blue Blood – that drives the aristocracy to murder commoners.
