'Kingdom': ATEEZ Wooyoung wants to 'get close' to iKON Jinhwan, personal chats of K-Pop stars show their love

ATEEZ's Wooyoung is smitten for iKon's 'sunbaenim' (senior) Jinhwan and fans can't get enough of their beautiful chemistry. Mnet's 'Kingdom: Legendary War' has brought the K-pop fandom together by unveiling some 'behind-the-scenes' footage of K-pop groups interacting with each other. The show of love, respect, and friendship between groups -- be it Stray Kids and BTOB or iKon and ATEEZ -- have left fandoms swooning for more.

In the latest preview clips of episode 5 released by Mnet, ATEEZ's Wooyoung candidly expresses his love and admiration for K-pop supergroup Ikon's member Jinhwan aka Jay, and how he wants to get close to the K-pop star on the reality show. Mnet also shared some screenshots of their personal chats which confirms the ATEEZ star's undeniable devotion for the YG Entertainment artiste.

iKON Jinhwan and ATEEZ Wooyoung's friendship

In the latest preview of 'Kingdom' episode five, ATEEZ shares their collective love and respect for the group iKon. Wooyoung happily shares that he has realized that the person in 'Kingdom' that he wants to get close to is Jinhwan. He shares, "On Kingdom, I’ve decided on who I want to be loved by... it’s iKON Kim Jinhwan sunbaenim.” He further reveals how he keeps texting Jinhwan asking if he has arrived at the studio, if he is leaving, or already left. To which his groupmates say, it is cute and he says that he likes to text him. 

Personal chats reveal their love 

As an added bonus, Mnet has released a series of screenshots between the two singers. The caption for them says that 'Kingdom' will be rooting for the friendship between Wooyoung and Jinhwan. In the chat screenshots, Jinhwan is seen encouraging the ATEEZ junior by saying he has worked hard and Wooyoung says, "I want to get closer to you, sunbaenim."

ATEEZ Member San also shared how he went to iKon's concert and was absolutely mesmerized by the group's stage presence when he was young. Fans are loving the interactions between ATEEZ and iKon and they took to social media to gush over it. A fan said, "i cant believe ateez went for the introduction stage and wooyoung's first agendum was to get close with jinhwan ahahahaha!" Another fan added, "Wooyoung and Jinhwan as textmates!!! He saved also (iKON Jinhwan hyung) in his contacts I'm crying!" An ATEEZ fan shared, "THE WAY WOOYOUNG TEXTS JINHWAN FIRST TO BE FRIENDS IS SO ADORABLE!"
