Well, none other than former Stray Kids member Kim Woojin, former XRO member Yoon Jae Chan, Newkidd member Kim Jin Kwon and actor Lee Min Wook from JFLO entertainment. Kim Woojin, who has been in and out of controversies, has finally got big news for all his ardent fans as he becomes the first K-pop idol to bag such a major role. Along with him, Kim Jin Kwon is ready to stun the audience with his visuals and strong acting skills. The series is Yoon Jae Chan's new breakthrough post disbandment.
According to a statement made by Kim Woojin’s agency 10x Entertainment, and Kim Jin Kwon’s and Lee Min Wooks' agency J-FLO Entertainment, the idols and the actor have been roped in to act in the Korean Brazilian series titled ‘Além do Guarda-Roupa’. Woojin, Jin Kwon, Jae Chan, and Min Wook will play the roles of K-pop stars
Woojin is playing the role of Kyung Min, a grumpy member of the fictional boy band Act, while Kim Jin Kwon is playing Dae-ho, another member of the band. Along with them, Jae Chan will play Chul and Lee Min Wook will be seen as Mok, all the members of the boy band. The main lead Woojin will star opposite Sharon Blanche, a Brazilian actress. The crew is now filming in Brazil and will return to Korea in June 2022. "As I transformed into Kyung Min, I felt excited because I could once again debut as a boy group member like before,” Woojin stated in an interview with a Brazilian media outlet, according to the Korean portal KBIzoom.
Woojin, Jae Chan, and Jin Kwon’s idol life
Woojin first joined Stray Kids in 2018 and departed the band in October 2019. In July 2021, he made his solo debut with the single ‘Still Dream’. Several anonymous women have accused him of sexual harassment on Twitter. But soon, the allegations were all proven false. On the other hand, Kim Jin Kwon made his acting debut with 'Afterschool dating’ in 2018. In 2021, he also participated in the Netflix drama ‘To My Star’. He made his K-pop debut in 2019 as the leader of the boy band Newkidd. So far, the band has released two EPs, but there has been no new music by the group since 2019. Jae Chan initially was part of the band XRO but sadly in April 2022, the band disbanded. But nonetheless, all the three idols are debuting internationally with a big giant like HBO.
