This article contains spoilers for Season 2 'Kidding'

In the last episode of 'Kidding', we saw Jeff Piccirillo (Jim Carrey) divorce Jill (Judy Greer) on National Television with children as viewers at the first episode of the 31st Season of 'Mr. Pickles Puppet Time.' While there was a therapeutic session with puppets and the estranged couple expressing their emotions, the show may have portrayed that divorce is for the best.

However, in this episode, titled the 'Death of Fil' we see the consequences of Jeff's actions - although noble, he may have killed an international Mr. Pickles.

The start of the episode takes us to Manila, the Philippines where children enjoy Mr. Pickles Puppet Show by Mr. Fil Pickles where he expresses that 'divorce is okay'. With the laws set in place in the country, police forces broke onto the set of the show and threw Fil off a roof, killing him. Not wanting to bury him on their soil, no funeral is held in their country but there was one planned to be in the middle of the South China Sea.

Jeff, in an interview, explains that getting divorced on National TV was not the wrong thing to do. When asked how he feels about "single-handedly breaking up more homes than anyone in the whole of humanity", Jeff said, "Homes don't break, they change, like people." When he was made aware of Fil's death, he decides with his sister and manager Deirdre (Catherine Keener) that he's going to attend and hold the funeral for Fil, along with his son Will (Cole Allen), his father Seb (Frank Langella), Deirdre and all the other Mr. Pickles around the world.

With the world sending in hate messages to Jeff about how children are now more aware of divorce and how homes are breaking, he still doesn't think that he was responsible for the death of Fil. While at the funeral at sea and after the sliding of Fil's body into a Pickle Barell, the rest of Mr. Pickles end up turning on Jeff. Dropping their show ties, they give up saying that they were contractually responsible to say everything that Jeff was saying on his show, and because of that he is responsible for the death of Fil - thus they end up accusing him of murder.

Meanwhile, Peter (Justin Kirk), Jill's boyfriend is getting ready to propose to Jill but Will seems to think that better days are coming for his father and mother. Gaining access to a book about math and mysticism, he claims to have a possibility of turning time backward - the dates on the book seem to match events in his life, from the address of children that look like his late brother to the number of skittles in a jar.  He wants to go backward in time and realizes that if the Fibonacci numbers continue to portray 'magic', his parents could be together. He finds out that his mother is about to re-marry though, and ends up dropping his tie too, not wanting to take over as Mr. Pickles after his father.

On another troubling note, Deirdre is also accused of rape by the brother of the Mr. Pickles-san, and while she denies it, she ends up running around the ship to escape her fate.

The episode mostly took place on a ship in the middle of the ocean, and while the drunks on board the funeral ship were hilarious to watch, Jeff might be in heaps of trouble considering his franchise might be spiraling downward. An excellent depiction of guilty consciences and murky consequences, this episode may have topped the one before it.

'Kidding' Season 2 airs on Sundays at 10 pm EST on Showtime.
