LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Singer-songwriter Kid Rock has come under Internet scrutiny after a picture of him from 2003 enjoying a Bud Light with the drag queen Wanda has resurfaced. While the legitimacy of the image is still not verified, it has sparked rows among the netizens.

It all started when Dylan Mulvaney shared a picture of the Bud Light can with her picture on it. She also collaborated with the brand which appeared on her Instagram. However, the ‘Cowboy’ hitmaker did not welcome the move as he appeared to have destroyed the Bud Light cans in the aftermath.

What did Kid Rock say?

The ‘American Bad Ass’ crooner posted a video of himself shooting four cans of Bud Light amidst a serene environment following the beer brand’s collaboration with transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Wearing a white MAGA (Make America Great Again) hat, the reportedly Republican singer was heard in the video saying, "Grandpa is feeling a little frisky today," before shooting the cases. He also showed his middle finger saying, "F*** Bud Light and f*** Anheuser-Busch," slamming the parent company Anheuser-Busch.

However, soon after, in an interesting turn of events, netizens unearthed a photo of the singer drinking Bud Light along with the trans queen Wanda in 2003 which elicited a series of reactions from social media users.

Boycotting Bud Light

Not only Kid Rock, but other musicians like John Rich and Travis Tritt also called for boycotting the brand. John Rich wrote on Twitter, "What beer should my bar @rnrbarnash in Nashville replace #BudLight with? @RedneckRiviera"

While Travis Tritt tweeted "I will be deleting all Anheuser-Busch products from my tour hospitality rider. I know many other artists who are doing the same," before adding, "I will be deleting all Anheuser-Busch products from my tour hospitality rider. I know many other artists who are doing the same."

'Dollars first, Beliefs second'

One music industry executive said, "For us in the music industry that know Kid Rock/Robert Ritchie's history & have worked with him in the past, we know there's lots of stories that will come out along with pictures & video that disprove his 'conservative leanings' and will be very embarrassing for him & MAGA GOP." Another said, "Drag queens and someone using womanhood as a costume acting like a cartoon version of a woman (no woman goes hiking in high heels or normalizes the buldge) are completely different. Now for him drinking a bud light....I can't explain that one." Another said, "I'm more and more convinced that all these anti trans anti lgbtq people are just bitter regretful cowards who never had the courage to come out the closet themselves."

One user criticized, "Dollars first. Beliefs second." Another dissenter commented after reposting the photo, "Well, if it isn’t @KidRock drinking Bud Light with a drag Queen while wearing a Coors hat."

Another post reads, "Well this is awkward…this you @KidRock?" Another user posted, "Kid Rock is proof that the biggest scam ever pulled is men telling women they're too emotional. Imagine being triggered this much by a beer ad." Another user slammed, "Drinking a Bud Lite, wearing a Coors cap, hanging with a drag queen. Twenty years ago. Kid Rock is a fraud." "Here's how we know Kid Rock is a genuine Republican. Drag Queens and Bud Light were just fine until suddenly they weren't," slammed another user.
