Spoiler alert for 'Katy Keene' Season 1

Friendship and honesty in relationships tug at our heartstrings like nothing else and judging from fans' reactions, this is what made the latest episode of 'Katy Keene' a great emotional success, already.

Katy Keene (Lucy Hale) is seen reminiscing on times with her late mom and Jorge Lopez (Jonny Beauchamp) is being honest with his parents, coming out to his mother at last. As the polar vortex hit full force, tensions rose in the sweaty apartment holding four very grumpy members. The days had a lot of stressful triggers from the breaking of Katy's sewing machine to Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray) accusing Pepper Smith (Julia Chan) of a vile news leak and one extravagant dress that had to be done in 24 hours.

However, as Jorge came out to his mother as drag-queen Ginger Lopez, the hearts of viewers were stolen. A lot of real-life circumstances were brought together in the picture and it cemented the importance of friendships. Fans went emotional about the storyline involving Katy Keene, Jorge and his mother (Daphne Rubin-Vega) that brought tears.

"I LOVE Katy and Jorge's friendship! I'm gonna go call my best friend. #KatyKeene," tweeted a fan.

"that katy and jorge scene and everyone stepped up their game this ep, loved to see everyone being there for katy. they helped her go through her mom's box and then helped her sew the dress for gloria by hand, they some real ones #katykeene," tweeted another fan.

During the day, Jorge works at his family's bodega and at night he is Ginger Lopez and performs at a local club. His dream — backed by his very supportive mother — has always been to be a Broadway performer.

In this episode, we see that although he had come out to his parents earlier, he had not mentioned anything to them about Ginger Lopez. He vents to his friends how his parents had shut him out and just when things are going good now, he didn't want to blow things up by revealing another secret. However, Jorge was not disappointed with his mother's reaction, nor were we.

The dialogue he used to come out to his mother was definitely a fan favorite, "'I’m a drag queen, mama. Her name is Ginger Lopez.' I love Jorge sooo much! #KatyKeene," tweeted a fan.

While the four friends went through their trials during this episode, Katy, who's lost her mother — a narrative central to this episode — give Jorge the courage to let his mother know the truth because one day he might not have a chance to.

"Jorge is the definition of an amazing friend! #KatyKeene," tweeted a fan. His confidence in coming out to his mother again, in perfect Ginger Lopez hair and make-up was inspirational.

"This episode perfectly shows why Jorge is my favorite character! #KatyKeene," tweeted another fan.

"If Jorge finds the courage to show his parents Ginger, The tears wont ever stop. #KatyKeene," tweeted another fan.

'Katy Keene' airs Thursdays at 8 pm EST on The CW.
