NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The ‘Today’ on Sunday had host Willie Geist interview ‘Meet The Press’ moderator Kristen Welker as a guest to discuss how President Joe Biden is working to support Israel.

This October 15 interview came after the recent unprecedented Hamas attack on Saturday, October 7, which has prompted the declaration of all-out war by Israel.

The official ‘Today’ Twitter handle carried a short clip of the discussion between the Sunday edition host and Welker.

In the clip, Geist asked Welker about the “conversation between President Biden and Prime Minister Netanyahu to avoid a wider war in the Middle East”. Her response about Biden garnered several critical tweets from netizens as they slammed the 'puppet' POTUS.

Willie Geist questions Kristen Welker on Joe Biden’s support of Israel

On Sunday’s ‘Today’ with Willie Geist, the host spoke with Kristen Welker, the new moderator of ‘Meet The Press’, who reports from The White House.

Geist began with an overview of the situation, saying, “America’s support for Israel over the last week has been unequivocal, a powerful speech from President Biden, then secretaries like Blinken and Austin, both traveling to Israel."

He then questioned Welker, "But what are those conversations according to your reporting, like between President Biden and Prime Minister Netanyahu, about trying to avoid a wider war in the Middle East?”

Welker responded, “I think you hit at the key point here. Publicly speaking, we are seeing this robust support from President Biden from the secretary of State, but privately, based on our reporting adding to that message in these conversations, US officials are urging restraint and urging mitigating civilian deaths.”

She continued, “Secretary Blinken, as you say, is in the region right now. He is expected to be in Cairo today where he will be talking about securing the safe passage of Americans and civilians who are in Gaza and also, Willie, the broader goal of trying to prevent this from becoming a wider war because, of course, that risk further ensnaring the United States and this crisis as well, so there is a lot at stake.”

“And again, the public messaging, this very robust support and privately also urging Israel to follow international law as it carried out these next steps,” Welker concluded.

Internet questions if Joe Biden is really 'working' on the Israel crisis

After ‘Today’ Willie Geist discussed Joe Biden’s support to Israel with Kristen Welker, the Internet quickly flooded the morning show's YouTube clip’s comment section slamming POTUS as one wrote, “Let's be real Biden isnt doing anything except mumbling.”

Another added, “Is that really a question?🙄 Biden? He hasn't done one good thing, EVER,” and one more added, “Sleepy Joe worked for 5 minutes.. now needs ice cream & a nap 💤.”

A person simply called out Biden saying, “Biden "working"? You misspelled "piddle paddle,” and one commented, “Lol! Sniffy Joe hasn't even mastered stairs yet. The puppet doesn't run the show.”

One more wrote, “He's not. He's eating ice cream with Pelosi in his basement."
