Joe Biden has doubted the death toll in the Gaza Strip as reported by Palestinian Health Ministry

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: President Joe Biden, on Wednesday October 25, expressed “no confidence in the number that the Palestinians are using” for the death toll reported by the Palestinian Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip, which is under the control of Hamas.

According to their figures, over 6,500 people have been reported killed in Israeli attacks.

During a White House press conference, Biden was questioned whether the death toll, which includes around 2,700 children according to the ministry's figures, suggested that Israel was disregarding US appeals to minimize civilian casualties in its airstrikes on the coastal enclave.

Following this event, CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins took to X (formerly Twitter) to post about Biden's lack of confidence in the Gaza death toll.

Many remarked on her post, with several slamming Biden and calling him out as a “disgusting world leader.”

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins took to X and wrote, “Biden doesn't have confidence in the Gaza death toll: ‘I have no notion if Palestinians are telling the truth...I'm sure innocents have been killed & it is the price of waging war..Israel should be incredibly careful to ensure they're going after the folks propagating this war.’”

Collins also shared a short clip of Biden’s speech from the White House where he had stern words for both Israel and Hamas.

During his speech, Biden said, “What they say to me is I have no notion that the Palestinians are telling the truth about how many people are killed. I'm sure innocents have been killed, and it’s the price of waging a war,"

He continued, “(The) Israelis should be incredibly careful to be sure that they're focusing on going after the folks that (are) propagating this war against Israel. And it's against their interest when that doesn't happen. But I have no confidence in the number that the Palestinians are using.”

Biden also said that Hamas was “hiding behind Palestinian civilians” in the densely-populated enclave, thereby placing “an added burden on Israel while they go after Hamas."

“Israel has to do everything in its power, as difficult as it is, to protect innocent civilians,” added Biden.

Internet dubs Joe Biden as ‘warmonger’

Soon after Kaitlan Collins reported on Joe Biden’s remarks on the Gaza assault, the internet took a brutal jab at the President of America.

One person wrote, “This is disgusting from a world leader. Open your damn eyes,” and another added, “I’m sorry to all the dems we’ve been nice to over the last 3 years but Biden gotta get tf up out of here now.”

A person simply called out Biden saying, “I can name at least 20 times Biden has lied just off the top of my head. Maybe he doesn’t wanna admit to the public how many innocent civilians have been harmed because we’re the one funding this & it would be admitting to war crimes. 👀”

One more wrote, “Repulsive. Old Joe is a warmonger and lost my vote. We need a #CeasefireNOW!” and another said, “Wow, what delightful, empathetic language. This the true Biden heartless, nasty, and disgusting 💩.”

“He is leading us to WW3. All of this so he can get a second term! Believe me, you will be like Trump a one term president. Blood is not a campaign tool. You have to lead man!” wrote another.
