Dani calls out David for disrespecting her

The dating scene can be a real minefield, especially when it comes to matters of culture and tradition. This was precisely the case for Miami-based single Dani, who was thrown into the deep end with David on Netflix's 'Jewish Matchmaking.' From the start, things seemed promising between the two, with Dani and David texting and calling each other throughout the day. However, it wasn't long before Dani noticed something that set off alarm bells - David didn't pour her a glass of wine when he poured one for himself. As someone who grew up with good table manners, this small detail irked Dani.

Despite this initial hurdle, Dani and David seemed to enjoy each other's company. They shared a steak on their very first date, which is usually a good sign, but Dani couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't quite right. This feeling was compounded when David revealed that he had an early morning routine and was very religious, which clashed with Dani's lifestyle. Even when they decided to go jet skiing together, Dani couldn't shake the feeling that they might not be a perfect match. One thing that particularly bothered her was David's obsession with being Sephardic, and how he kept telling her that she looked Sephardic. Dani, who is Ashkenazi, felt that they had different lifestyles - for example, she didn't eat rice.

Despite these differences, Dani and David kept in touch when Dani had to leave for Los Angeles to attend a wedding, while David had to go to New York. Aleeza, the matchmaker, suggested that they take a short break and come back to reevaluate where their relationship stood. Dani took this advice and paused her relationship with David. However, during her time in LA, Dani met Shaun, a man who seemed to tick most of her boxes. And just like that, Dani's relationship with David was put on hold. When they got back together, David seemed distant and turned down her birthday party invite. Dani couldn't help but feel that he wasn't making much of an effort to be with her. Eventually, she realized that she needed to take matters into her own hands and make a tough decision. She broke up with David for making her feel 'disrespected.' Dani handled the situation like a boss, shutting down David when he slyly proposed they make out before going home. It was a tough call, but Dani knew that she needed to listen to her gut and do what was best for her.

'I love Dani’s no-nonsense approach to ending things with David'

Dani's decision to break up with David was a bold move, and fans of the show couldn't help but applaud her for it. Her break-up style was hailed as one of the greatest ever seen on reality TV. One wrote on Twitter, "That breakup? Dani is literally so fierce like she was simply put fabulous… what a f***ing brilliant woman #JewishMatchmaking", while another said, "OMG he is so immature. He's only interested in looks. I find him terribly embarrassing. It would be good to remind him that he is far from looking like a hottie. Poor guy! I love Dani, natural, genuine, and open-minded "

Another commented, "I’m glad the advice given to David and Dani has put the relationship on pause whilst you’re apart rather than unrealistically force yourself to commit so soon #JewishMatchmaking" Another fan called out David's lack of enthusiasm in the relationship. They said, "Lol not David trying to get Dani to plan the date ... Why don't you pick where you want to go and i'll just show up ?.... My friends KNOW how I feel bout dis lol" Another hailed her as a Queen. They wrote, "I've never come across such a well-executed Breakup (?) Dani was direct, expressed her frustration & very tactfully rejected creepy David's FWB offer, with a smile & without drama. She knows what she deserves & won't settle for less. A true Queen." Fans also called out the red flags they saw in David. One wrote, "Dani & David first date C-. Didn't compliment her until the end, and didn't pour wine for her. #jewishmatchmaking".
