'Jersey Shore': Is Snooki following Sammi Giancola's path and leaving the show in a bid to save her marriage?
Nicole Polizzi "Snooki" has been one of the faces of 'Jersey Shore' since the show's inception but recently she announced that she would be retiring from the show and the upcoming season of 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation' would be her last. While there is no doubt that the announcement came as a surprise to many of the show's followers, some wonder if Snooki is following the path of Sammi Giancola.
Sammi was also one of Jersey Shore's cast members but soon decided to bid her goodbyes and cut off all her ties to the show. When she was asked why she made this decision, the reality star confessed that she did not want to be surrounded by a toxic environment and wanted to focus on things that were important and this included her relationship and business.
There is no doubt that in the house of 'Jersey Shore' things tend to get wild. With a whole list of drunk tales and fights, there is no surprise that sometimes, the vibe of the house does tend to get a tad negative. Looking at how Snooki is the mother of three and has a whole family to take care of, many wonder if her decision to let go of the show comes from the idea of being there for her family and saving her marriage with her husband, Jionni LaValle.
LaValle and Snooki have been married since 2014. There were concerns about their marriage being in trouble and it stemmed from the fact that the pair rarely shared a picture together on social media. However, Snooki denied these claims and stated that everything was good between them.
Later, there were reports that LaValle cheated on Snooki and their marriage was on the rocks. In 2015, it was reported that LaValle had signed up for an account on Ashley Madison, a website aimed at clients looking to have extramarital affairs. While the couple did not comment on it, seeing that the two were standing by each other made people believe that there might be little truth to the rumors or the couple had sorted things out.
But looking at how Snooki is now ready to retire from the show, some wonder if it is a step she is taking in a bid to save her marriage once and for all. "My guess: it's a last-ditch effort to save her marriage. Jionni gave her an ultimatum," a fan wrote assuming why Snooki made this decision.
Others thought that her marriage was already shaky and having a third child might be their last resort to save the marriage. "I know I’m going to get downvoted to all hell, but I swear their last child was a bandaid baby. Not to mention her antics and drunkenness are not a good reflection on their marriage. Then the ominous Ashley Maddison acct, that she says Jionni doesn’t know how to turn a computer on, nope I definitely do not believe that for a minute," read the comment.
