CULVER CITY, CALIFORNIA: Twitter continues to have eventful days as it is once again been challenged by a major change in the industry. This comes after Mark Zuckerberg announced the launch of a 'rival' app called Threads. While the conversation regarding the apparent 'Twitter-killer' app is yet to die down, Threads has currently amassed 100 million users.

Amid this, 'Jeopardy!' decided to join in on the fun by sharing its own version of a 'hot take'. 'Jeopardy!' took to the all-new Threads app to take a massive dig at Elon Musk's Twitter in a personalized meme.

'Jeopardy!' takes a dig at Twitter

The 'Jeopardy!' game show's social media accounts indicate that they have been active online for some time. They quickly created a Threads account on Instagram, which has received a significant influx of Twitter emigrants. And what seems surprising is that their first post aimed at taking a swipe at Twitter with a cheeky meme.

A meme reaction picture of one of their more seasoned champions from 'Jeopardy! Masters', Mattea Roach, was posted on their Thread with the caption, "Us learning about Twitter limits." The expression on Roach's face, which was scrunched up in confusion and contempt, was ideal for the thread's caption. Roach originally made this face while struggling to figure out a clue from one of the 24 rounds of Final Jeopardy!

Why are people joining Threads?

The post was making reference to Threads' timely release, which came just after Musk issued yet another absurd restriction on using Twitter to access information. Twitter users were informed that there would be a cap on the number of tweets they could view each day of about 600 unless they had signed up for the 'Twitter Blue' service. Users were outraged by this for all the right reasons—Twitter Blue costs $8 a month, is largely useless to most people, and is therefore out of their price range.

Following this announcement, Zuckerberg, who is often at odds with Musk, unveiled Threads as a companion app to Instagram, one of the most widely used apps of all time. With the way Musk has been conducting things, it was inevitable that Twitter would be eclipsed. Even while Threads is still in its early phases of operation, in less than a week, it has already amassed millions of users.
