Jennifer Lopez has shared that performing at the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime will be "like winning an Oscar".

Recently, the singer was announced as a co-headliner in the forthcoming sports event alongside Shakira. Talking about the forthcoming performance, Jennifer shared that she cannot wait to go up on stage because the event has been her "fantasy" for many years.

The news of her excited to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2020 comes alongside the Oscar buzz she has been getting for her role as Ramona, a stripper, in 'Hustlers', a movie produced by her.

During an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, she shared, "It's like winning the Oscar. It's the biggest show that there is. It has the biggest audience. You get to have like this big production. You don't get to do that on tour."

Adding to that Lopez shared, "Everything's like, budget-conscious and You can do this and you can do that. It's a different experience and I think it's just like a fantasy for all musical artists to be able to play the Super Bowl and have like that 12 minutes of an amazing show. I don't know. There's just something exhilarating about it."

Even though Lopez is excited and looking forward to her performance at the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime, earlier this month she revealed that she has not had the chance to rehearse as yet. Talking about the preparations she shared, "I don't have that much time. We're starting. We still have to develop it a little bit more." But the most important aspect of the show for Lopez is to make it fun for herself and the audience.

Apart from that, she added, "For me, I'm obviously going to try to put together the best show that I can, but it's also about having fun. Just being up there, staying present in the moment and enjoying all of the wonderful things that are happening." She also shared that she is excited to share the stage with Shakira. "There's nobody like her so I know that the two of us together are going to bring that special brand of what we do and there will be people who haven't even seen us perform who get to see something special that night."
