LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Even though Jason Momoa's run as 'Aquaman' is probably over, he has always made it very evident that this character will always have a particular place in his heart and that his time as Arthur Curry will forever mark him as a significant figure in DC's history. While he's still eager to see how his upcoming 'Aquaman' sequel does, he also hasn't exactly concealed the fact that he's likely in line for a new role in the franchise under James Gunn and Peter Safran's direction. Momoa says, "We've got a lot of good things coming" after his meeting with Gunn and Safran.

Recently in an interview with Variety, Momoa was seen showing his thoughts regarding his future in the DC Universe. I'll always be Aquaman," Momoa said. "The rumors are... I'll always be Aquaman. Ain't anyone coming in there and taking s**t. And then, there might be some other characters too. I can play other things, too. I can be funny and savage and charming, once in a while," concluded Momoa.

Every time Warner Bros launches a new 'Justice League' adventure, it becomes customary to speculate about what the movie's box office performance means for the studio's ongoing efforts to put together a Marvel alternative. The comic book company's patchy history continues, especially after Dwayne Johnson exit from DC Universe. Along with Johnson was Henry Cavill, who made a splash in the DC Extended Universe with a cameo in 'Black Adam' before learning a month later that the new studio heads Gunn and Safran were altering their original plans for 'Superman'. Adding to the chaos was Patty Jenkins' third film 'Wonder Woman'. The series which helped launch Gal Gadot into the globe with the first two movies was shelved.

In the midst of the ongoing changes in the DC Universe, 'Aquaman' star Jason Momoa discussed in a recent interview with Variety, what his future looks like with the DCU as multiple major heroes are set to be recast. Momoa has been teasing that a dream project of his will come true thanks to Gunn and Safran. That has led to rumors that he's been cast as Lobo for a movie or series set in the DCU.
