New snaps of Jared Leto’s Joker from the much-awaited ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’ or simply 'Snyder's Cut' have surfaced, and notably, the Clown Prince of Crime is missing the controversial tattoos that he donned in ‘Suicide Squad’. The latest black-and-white pictures of Leto shows him in much longer hair than before, with more clown-like makeup and lesser tattoos. However, Leto’s look did not sit too well with the fans of ‘Justice League’ and ‘Suicide Squad’, who compared it with Marilyn Manson. Arguably, Manson also presents a similar pale white look during his live concerts or on-stage performances.

Snyder told Vanity Fair that the Joker from his ‘Justice League’ will be pretty different from the ‘Suicide Squad’ one. As per the ‘Man of Steel’ director, Batman will have a dream of Joker where Joker will directly talk to Batman about Batman.

Snyder added: “It's Joker analyzing Batman about who he is and what he is. That’s the thing I also felt like fans deserved from the DC Universe. That is to say, the Jared Leto Joker and the Ben Affleck Batman, they never really got together. It seemed uncool to me that we would make it all the way through this incarnation of Batman and Joker without seeing them come together."

Jared Leto’s Joker tattoos:

In 2016’s ‘Suicide Squad’, we saw Leto playing the role of Batman’s archenemy. The Joker is arguably one of the most famous villains in comics. When it was announced that Leto would play Joker’s role, fans were skeptical and quickly compared him with Heath Ledger, who played Joker in Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight’ movie. However, Leto did justice with his role as he brought a new energy and look to the part, especially in regards to the many tattoos.

In ‘Suicide Squad’, Leto had several tattoos, including “Damaged” stamped on Joker’s forehead and “HAHAHA” on his chest, indicating he is always laughing about something. Leto also had a “stabbed Bat Logo” tattoo on his left arm, signifying his desire to kill The Caped Crusader. While on his right arm, we could see an arrow piercing a robin’s body, a blunt taunt to Batman over killing Robin in the past.

However, Leto is reportedly missing these tattoos in the upcoming ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’, and his attires resemble a surgeon or a butcher.

Snyder talked about Joker’s new look at the beginning of February 2021, where he released a black-and-white image of Joker playing with a card that he held between his index and middle finger. In the released photo, Leto’s face was kept blurry, but one could easily spot his pale white face. However, Leto’s look from the upcoming ‘Snyder’s Cut’ is getting slammed as many are wondering about the removal of tattoos.

One tweeted, “JESUS F**K I THOUGHT THIS WAS FAKE... WERE ARE THE TATTOOS?” While one compared it with Manson: “jared leto literally looks like marilyn manson, it’s worse than suicide squad”. Another fan posted: “where are the tatoos? there is a reason that no Joker apart from Jared Letos had tatoos. because they look shit and ruin the look of the character”. One more resonated similar thoughts: “The Joker is supposed to be extremely frightening and disturbing. Leto’s characterization is a lazy way to that”. A fifth user tweeted: “I REALLY hope Zack didnt remove Jokers tattoos, but it looks like he did...”.
