Jamie Foxx remains hospitalized as he undergoes further tests week after 'medical complication'
ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Jamie Foxx continues to be in the hospital following reports of his health emergency on Tuesday, April 11. Foxx became unwell while filming in Atlanta for the upcoming Netflix feature 'Back in Action' with Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close.
The 55-year-old actor is currently being evaluated at a hospital in Georgia as a result of the "medical complication" that his daughter Corinne Foxx mentioned last week, reports People. Fans were first made aware of the health concern when Corinne Foxx, the actor's daughter, posted a somber message on social media on April 12. The 29-year-old actress said, "We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time."

Jamie Foxx was a 'total d***' to Cameron Diaz on ‘Back in Action’ set before hospitalization
What happened to Jamie Foxx?
Alongside Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close, Foxx has been filming his upcoming Netflix feature 'Back in Action' in Atlanta. According to People, Foxx did not fall sick while he was working on the set, and he wasn't taken to the hospital in an ambulance. At the time, insiders told TMZ that Foxx needed to be hospitalized because of his unidentified disease, which was sufficiently severe. There have been minimal facts released, and it's unknown what symptoms the actor-comedian might have had.
Tests were being done to figure out what caused his health concern and the actor was being monitored at the hospital, reports CNN. A source claimed, "They are running tests and still trying to figure out what exactly happened." Although his health is getting better, it is still unknown when he will be able to leave the hospital or resume filming. A source close to the actor told TMZ, "He's communicating now, and that's good news," possibly indicating that at one point he was unable to speak due to a medical condition.
Jamie Foxx 'had an absolute meltdown'
The movie 'Back in Action' has been charged as Cameron Diaz's comeback to acting after she was coaxed out of retirement by him, despite the fact that she apparently intends to do so permanently following an array of mishaps in the production. The actor from 'Baby Driver' and his coworkers appear to have experienced unexpectedly high levels of stress during their most recent Atlanta filming.
Foxx reportedly "had an absolute meltdown" while the movie was being shot in the UK, which resulted in the firing of several individuals, based on a story from last month. He reportedly fired two directors, an executive producer, and even his own driver from the project. Despite having 8 more days of Foxx's incomplete filming left, the movie 'Back in Action' is apparently set to wrap up production.
One employee was sacked in connection with an alleged plan to obtain £33,000 ($40970.49) in cash from the actor, which was allegedly connected to the selling of a Rolex watch. The drama heightened when it was announced that filming was put on hold last month after an unexploded bomb from World War II was found on the London set of the movie, just before two key action sequences were scheduled to be shot.
