Jamie Foxx was a 'total d***' to Cameron Diaz on ‘Back in Action’ set before hospitalization
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz were reportedly at odds on the set of their latest Netflix venture before his hospitalization, sources have revealed. The 55-year-old ‘Collateral’ star was rushed to hospital and provided with medical treatment with "great care" after facing an undisclosed issue on Tuesday, April 11. Reports said he is now steadily improving.
It has been revealed that Foxx was being a "total d***" behind the scenes of his upcoming flick ‘Back in Action’, which is currently being filmed in London and stars big Hollywood names including Glenn Close, 76, and Kyle Chandler, 57.
An insider associated with the project revealed that the movie would have been a dream comeback for ‘Charlie’s Angles’ star, but it turned into horror show after Foxx got off on the wrong foot with her, despite their years-long friendship. “Jamie is being a total pill and sadly Cameron’s bearing the brunt of his foul moods,” the source told Radar Online.

‘He hates that she is the center of attention’
“You’d think he’d be thrilled he convinced her to be in his movie, but he hates that she is the center of attention,” the tipster continued. Foxx, who stars and executive produces the project, reportedly fired his personal chauffeur and threw the movie into disarray with his diva behavior. He is also said to have altercations with an exec producer and two directors. A source said the set was turned into a minefield as the ‘Amazing Spiderman 2’ actor was carrying the weight of the film's eventual success.
“He’s throwing his heart and soul into this project and is clearly under a huge amount of pressure — but he doesn’t need to be a total d----” said a source, adding “Cameron doesn’t enjoy this type of negativity and stress in her life. The whole reason she quit movies for so long was to get away from BS and drama. Instead, here she is at the center of Jamie’s sniping and 6,000 miles from home, working her butt off through gritted teeth.”
'The guy needs to chill'
Cameron, who is filming her first movie in eight years, recently announced that she wants to quit showbiz again as she wants to return to her role as a full-time mom to their daughter, Raddix, born via surrogacy in 2019. She said her choice to retire was being driven by ten-hour workdays and a strong desire to be with her now three-year-old. But insiders are blaming Foxx for her retirement as one tipster revealed that “the guy (Foxx) needs to chill. Making the whole experience a nightmare for Cameron is totally out of line! She hates drama and confrontation. This is why she retired in the first place.”
