‘Broker’ starring IU, Song Kang Ho, Kang Dong Won to premiere in June, teaser poster out

A brand new film ‘Broker’ starring IU, Song Kang Ho, Kang Dong Won, Bae Doo Na, Lee Joo Young and other Korean A-listers will premiere in June 2022. 'Broker' is Hirokazu Koreeda's first Korean film, and it features some members of the 'Parasite' cast who won the Palme d'Or at the 71st Cannes International Film Festival. Additionally, Lotte Entertainment has confirmed the film's June release date and issued a teaser poster!

'The Broker' is a film that highlights the surprising and unique journey of two people who have a relationship linked by a baby. Sang Hyeon (Song Kang Ho) and his partner Dong Soo (Kang Dong Won) are seeking to identify the new parents of a baby in a baby box and make a unique deal. Directed by Hirokazu Koreeda, who has captivated the globe with his powerful storytelling and sensitive direction, has increased expectations by casting some of Korea's most representative actors, who transcend generations. The film aims to resonate with audiences with its deep message and haunting soundtrack.

Teaser poster drops

The poster, which depicts the actors smiling warmly while staring at each other, foreshadows a warm chemistry between the main characters. Actors Song Kang Ho and Kang Dong Won will reunite in a film for the first time in 12 years — they were last seen together in 'Sister-in-law.' Meanwhile, we can see IU sitting behind, looking outside with a baby right next to her. She matches the storyline of her character who keeps her baby in a box but comes back later! Her face which looks gloomy still looks tantalizing because of her outstanding visuals.

Fans are super happy about the movie coming out in June 2022. Many IU fans are excited as she is finally back in an acting role after her last outing in the popular TV series ‘Hotel Del Luna’.
