Is 'Love is Blind' returning for season 10? Here's what Netflix said about the dating show's future
This year, 'Love Is Blind' Season 9 saw a historic first that led to some criticism. For the first time in the show's history, none of the couples said "I do", leading many to be disappointed. While some found it to be one of the show's most dramatic seasons, many felt it couldn't deliver in terms of finding genuine love. For creator Chris Coelen, however, the show was a success in its conceptualisation as a love experiment. "In Season 9, at least one member of each couple felt their love was not strong enough to overcome the challenges of the real world...That's exactly how the experiment is supposed to work," Coelen told Tudum. And riding on that success, Season 10 might just be months away from release.
Noting the show's widespread popularity, Netflix had officially renewed 'Love Is Blind' for seasons 9 and 10 in January this year. Season 9 concluded on October 22, with a reunion special released on October 29. And if the show continues with its current tradition, fans can expect a 'Love Is Blind' Season 10 as early as February next year. Since its second season, Netflix has released two 'Love Is Blind' seasons each year, in February and October; the only exception was in 2023, when seasons 4 and 5 were released in March and September, respectively, as per Parade.
So, while Netflix hasn't yet declared an official release date for 'Love Is Blind' season 10, it can be expected that the next season will drop before October, with a possibility of a February-March release. When it comes to the location of 'Love Is Blind' Season 10, many reports indicate that Boston might be the pick. As per Parade, Kinetic Content, the company behind casting for 'Love Is Blind', posted a call on Instagram, specifically searching for single men and women in the New England area. Additionally, a Reddit user claimed that filming for the show was underway at the New England Aquarium.
For the uninitiated, 'Love Is Blind' is a dating reality show that pairs participants face-to-face in specially designed soundproof pods. While they can talk to each other, they are separated from each other's sight by a translucent wall. If they form a connection and propose marriage, they are sent on a retreat to spend time together. Following the retreat, the couples move into an apartment complex in the same city to experience living together, manage daily habits, and plan their weddings. Season 9 of the Netflix show was the first instalment to not feature a single couple eventually making it to the altar. Season 9 saw two couples, Ali Lima and Anton Yarosh, and Kalybriah “KB” Haskin and Edmond Harvey, make it to the altar. However, both of them broke up when it came to tying the knot
