Kai Cenat is a man of many hats, and acting appears to be one of them. The renowned streamer showed off his hooping skills during the NBA's All-Star weekend last year. Now, he's all set to flex his acting chops for the second time in his career. The YouTuber is all set to appear in 'Scary Movie 6' — the news of which was confirmed by a circulating trailer footage. Cenat made a brief appearance in the trailer posted by Marlon Wayans, 'bootlegging' the teaser while attending a screening of 'Scream 7'. Earlier last week, the 'AIR' star posted the footage of 'bootlegging' his own film, saying, "It’s opening night of Scream 7, but really, it’s opening night for the teaser of Scary Movie 6. This better be funny," he said in a video on Instagram.

"I’m bootlegging my own teaser," Wayans joked before focusing the camera toward the theater screen, where a character was being stabbed by an unknown character in a Ghostface mask. The trailer then cuts to the actor in a 'Mafiathon 2' inspired streaming room, featuring a cameo from Cenat. This will be Cenat's second appearance in a film after playing a disgruntled customer in 'A Good Burger 2'. The 24-year-old has become a household name for his comedic streams, and as of 2025, is the most-subscribed Twitch streamer in the world. Cenat's CV also sees him star in a few music videos, including 'Truth in the Lies' by Central Cee. His cameo in the trailer sparked speculations of whether Cenat was really a member of the cast or if it was a hoax. But with Wayans' latest, the streamer will appear in the film, which is currently in its final stages.

As for 'Scary Movie 6', the comedy horror feature is directed by Michael Tiddes and written by Wayan and his brothers — Shawn, Keenen Ivory Wayans, and Rick Alvarez. It is the sixth installment in the film series, following 2013's 'Scary Movie 5'. Wayans and Shawn also star with other returning actors, including Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Jon Abrahams, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Dave Sheridan, Anthony Anderson, and Chris Elliott. The official logline reads, "Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (“Ghostface”), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs, and no horror movie IP is safe. Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, and Regina Hall reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture."A screenshot of Marlon Wayans from 'Scary Movie 6' (Cover image credit: YouTube | Paramount)

It remains to be seen if 'Scary Movie 6' fares better than the fifth film. It was panned by critics, grossing just $78.4 million on a $20 million budget. The critical consensus, according to Rotten Tomatoes, reads,  "Juvenile even by Scary Movie standards, this fifth installment offers stale pop culture gags that generate few laughs." 'Scary Movie 6' releases June 12, 2026, in cinemas.
