'Suits LA' star Josh McDermitt joins 'Fire Country' in a recurring role for Season 4. The CBS drama kicks off with the episode starting this December. McDermitt will be part of a storyline surrounding a new recurring cast member, Alona Tal.

Per Deadline, his character is described as a "quietly upset and meek on the surface Landon, who is Chloe’s (Tal) partner and a father figure to her son, Tyler (Sherry). They recently lost their home in the wildfires. He knows that Tyler has been angry and acting out lately, but is shocked to hear that he ran away." The outlet also suggests that Landon may be part of a love triangle, as Chloe was Bode's (Thieroiot) peer tutor in high school.

In related news, Sherry will make his debut on 'Fire Country' this Friday alongside McDermitt. Tal's character will be introduced next week. For those unaware, McDermitt is known for playing Dr. Eugene Porter in AMC's hit zombie drama, 'The Walking Dead.' Earlier this year, he was on NBC's 'Suits LA' that ran for all but one season.

Earlier, McDermitt shed light on preparing for a role. "I try to look as different as possible as can. Not every character is going to allow you to do that. Because, maybe, there’s an issue of time, or if I’m shooting something at the same time, I’m shooting something else, that sort of thing," he told Daily Actor.

"But I definitely want to… look, we’re wearing masks, you know? I like wearing masks; some people are happy with looking like themselves. I like being able to take the mask off at the end of the day, and to go about my business and not necessarily have to worry about always being in character, so to speak."

'Fire Country' Season 4 Episode 7 releases December 5. The official logline reads, "Sharon is blindsided by a visit from her estranged mother, Ruby, whose sudden reappearance stirs up painful family history; Bode and Jake respond to a call from a troubled teen in a condemned building."

'Fire Country' airs on Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS and is available to stream on Paramount+.
