SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: K-pop girl group DIA's member Jeong Chaeyeon was injured on the set of MBC's K-drama, 'The Gold Spoon'. Years after making her debut as a K-pop idol, Chayeon is set to star opposite BTOB's Yook Sungjae in the upcoming K-drama that will be released in the weeks to come.
MBC 'The Gold Spoon' is set to premiere on September 23 and the makers are currently filming the subsequent episodes of the show. On September 12, it was reported that Jeong Chaeyeon had injured herself on September 10 when she fell off the stairs while filming the K-drama and was rushed to a hospital in Seoul. However, it has now been reported that Chaeyeon is undergoing surgery after the accident.

DIA Chaeyeon shares a message with fans
In the recent reports, it was announced that DIA's Chaeyeon was taken to a hospital in Seoul in order to have X-rays taken after the accident. The reports suggested that Chaeyeon was diagnosed with a fractured clavicle and that she suffered symptoms of a concussion, and received emergency treatment. As of September 13, Chaeyeon is currently undergoing surgery on her clavicle fracture and the medical professionals are aiming to check her ligament damage which will mean she has to undergo suture surgery in order to recover.
Before undergoing surgery DIA's Chayeon shared a special message with fans she said, "Writing this because I don't want AID (fans of DIA) to worry." She continued, "AID!!!!!! We were supposed to laugh that day, now what!!!!!! I had a feeling you were going to be worried sick so I decided to come here. I'll be fine once I get surgery!!!!! Don't worry. I admit I'm a little nervous... but it'll all be fine. Don't worry. I'm really fine if I don't count my shoulder and my collarbone. Ah..! The concussion!!!! It's gone now, my head is fine!!!! I'm fine!!!"
