SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MICHIGAN: 'Vanderpump Rules' alum Jax Taylor initially shared that his wife Brittany Cartwright experienced stroke-like symptoms, but later clarified that it wasn't a stroke despite his initial belief.
Responding on X (formerly Twitter) to a fan who questioned about Brittany's health, Jax explained, "It was a year ago. It was stroke-like symptoms, but she’s okay now... thank god. It was a scary time."
According to Reality Blurb, in a 'House of Villains' clip, Jax recounted the anxious moments after his elimination from the E! series. He received a call informing him of Brittany's hospitalization, prompting a frantic rush to Cedars.
Worried about serious health issues, he stayed by her side for two nights, fearing cancer, spinal issues, or MS. However, Jax later realized it was a small stroke, expressing relief that Brittany, at 33, had recovered.
"A couple minutes after I was eliminated, I made it out there and I get a phone call. ‘Here, Jax, take the phone, your wife’s in the hospital. Just to let you know.’ And she’s like crying on the phone, she’s like, ‘I don’t want you to leave the show but I just want to let you know, I’m in the hospital,'” Jax recalled on the show.
“I’m panicking,” he continued. “Obviously, the timing. The timing. So I race to Cedars, stay there for two nights making sure that my wife doesn’t have cancer, doesn’t have spinal issues, doesn’t have MS. Turns out she had a small stroke. She’s 33,” he shared.
