In the wake of 'Avengers: Endgame', the Marvel Cinematic Universe lost the man who started it all, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr), the Iron Man. 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' asked the question of who could replace Tony Stark in a post-Endgame universe, and Marvel Studios now have an answer: Riri Williams, Ironheart, who will be introduced in an all-new Disney+ series. Stay tuned to this page for release dates, trailers, casting announcements, news and everything else you need to know about the new Marvel series.

Plot

'Ironheart' will focus on a young Black girl genius from inner city Chicago who reverse engineers Iron Man's armor to create her own, and takes on his legacy as the armored superhero Ironheart to protect her neighborhood.

Riri Williams was co-created by writer Brian Michael Bendis — the co-creator of Miles Morales — and artist Mike Deodato, first appearing in 'Invincible Iron Man' #7 in 2016. While Iron Man is still very much alive in the comics, Riri Williams enjoys a position as one of the next generation of superheroes, having been a member of G.I.R.L. — a team of girl geniuses — and the Champions, a new teen superhero team.

While the comics see Riri strike out on her own with very little actual training or guidance from Iron Man, the two have still interacted — something that the show's Riri Williams will not have the benefit from, living in a world where Tony Stark has already died.
