Internet worried for Lisa Hochstein as 'RHOM' star hires lawyer to fight ex-husband Lenny's defamation charges
MIAMI, FLORIDA: Lisa Hochstein is prepared to face another case against her estranged husband, Lenny Hochstein, and fans are worried she may be left high and dry. 'The Real Housewives of Miami' star hired a lawyer to defend herself against Lenny's claims that she defamed him by accusing her ex of domestic abuse.
Lisa told the court that she had hired legal representation, according to records obtained by RadarOnline.com. She also requested an extension for her formal statement on the subject.
"Because undersigned needs to get familiar with the facts and circumstances here, we kindly request an extension of time of thirty (30) days to file a responsive pleading," the records filed in Miami-Dade County stated.
Lisa further stated that her application for an extension was done "in good faith" and not to postpone her estranged husband's defamation suit.
Last month, Lenny accused Lisa of making "false statements" about him and his fiancée, Katharina Nahlik, as the publication exclusively revealed. The well-known plastic surgeon requested an emergency hearing to examine a possible protection order against Lisa.
Concerned fans took to social media to write, "Those lawyers are gonna bleed her dry. I wish Lenny would just settle and leave her alone."
Another user chimed in, "Sooo sick of this man. He has not wanted to give her " a cent!!" He is trying every way to get some money " back !" The world saw this narcissistic cheating man on television. I wish some judge would just lay it to him, enough and yes I believe he probably did bruised her! Do I think he beat her, no but I think he has been sarcastic and emotionally abusive to her."
One person suggested, "Omg just divorced all ready both move on and do what’s best for the kids it’s like they still in love madness."
A fourth person also commented, "this is 80 million in lawyer fees easily."
One user also wrote, "They need to move on. This is insane."

In December, Lenny sued his ex for defamation after the Bravolebrity accused him of domestic abuse, seeking $50,000 in damages.
Lisa stunned the globe by posting a photo of a bruise on her arm with the message, "Didn’t want to have to share this. But I’m left with no choice. I’m being threatened and harassed through the court system and through ‘others’ by Lenny, and it needs to stop."
"This was almost 2 weeks old from last season. You may have caught this bruise on the episode when I opened up to the women on the show about the divorce," she added.
"She attacks me every chance she gets, and I have put up with every single lie, but when she accused me of being physically abusive, I had enough," Lenny told Page Six. "I am against any form of violence, especially against women."
He also claimed Lisa received the bruise after falling while cursing at him.
“It came about because [Lisa] as usual was yelling at and berating [Lenny] when he came home from work, as she did almost daily telling him how he never does anything right, so [Lenny] attempted to walk away and started walking up the stairs, and [Lisa] walked in front of [him] going backwards up the stairs so she could continue yelling in [his] face, and [she] lost her balance and fell on a stair,” the lawsuit stated.
