Why did Mia Thornton and Gordon Thornton split?
Mia and Gordon announced their split in September 2023. At that time, she confirmed the news of their separation to People magazine.
In a statement issued to the magazine at that time, the reality TV star said, "Like all marriages, ours has had its ups and downs."
She further added, "At this time, Gordon and I are separated, but my family is my number one priority, and I am committed to doing whatever it takes to make sure we are okay. We ask that you respect our privacy and give us the time and space to figure things out.”
The couple exchanged their vows in the year 2012 after initially meeting for the first time in 2003.

When questioned if the ring on her finger was a commitment ring, she replied, "Yes. I’m not available. So don’t come in my DMs.”
