NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, has been criminally charged with three counts of lying while buying a firearm, as reported by BBC.

Following this news, ‘The View’ co-host discussed Hunter in great detail, with Ana Navarro defending him. After Navarro’s defense against Hunter was shared on The View’s official Instagram, the internet expressed their disappointment over her justifications.

People have begrudgingly asked Navarro to “stop making excuses” for Hunter following his indictment.

Joy Behar, who moderated Friday’s segment in Whoopi Goldberg’s absence, introduced the topic to the panel, stating, “It’s been a rough week for the Bidens, hasn’t it?” Behar briefly mentioned the impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden and then moved on to Hunter Biden.

“Hunter was hit with three charges of his own for making…allegedly making false statements and illegally possessing a handgun,” she explained.

‘The View’ co-hosts discussed Hunter Biden, Donald Trump, and more before Ana Navarro circled back to Hunter, and the charges he is currently facing.

“Going back to the Hunter thing though, and the gun charges, the federal gun charges against him,” said Navarro, before she continued, “So, he was in the throws of addiction, he was in a very bad place.”

“There’s something like a third of American families, including my own, who have had to deal with loved ones in the throws of addiction. And then, you know what addicts do? They do really stupid…choices,” said Navarro as she dodged saying “s**t” on air.

Navarro continued, “They lie, they commit crime, Hunter Biden did that. He filled out the form, he’s not claiming that he didn’t. he actually had the gun for eleven days, because at that time he was in such a bad place, and had hit rock bottom.”

Ana Navarro faces backlash on social media

After Navarro’s defense of Hunter concluded, the internet didn’t seem too impressed about it as a clip of her was shared on The View’s Instagram.

One person wrote, “Why are y'all feeling the need to justify Hunter breaking the law? Let the jury hear the case, and deliver a verdict."

“Who cares, he's guilty. Stop trying to sugar coat it,” commented one person, and another wrote, “How sweet of you to make excuses....keep it up for everyone, not just democrats.”

People were focused on the “excuses” made by Navarro as one person wrote, “Stop making excuses for the Biden family,” and another said, “Excuses excuses.”

"These women are unbelievable. Making excuses for Hunter Biden. I can just imagine if this was one of Trump's children,” commented another user on Instagram.
