Internet dubs 'RHOSLC' star Monica Garcia 'Jen Shah 2.0' as her multiple aliases come to light
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: 'The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' Season 4 star Monica Garcia appeared to be involved in a never-ending controversy. Since her debut on the Bravo show, Monica's personal life has been the center of all drama.
A Reddit user appears to have dug quite a bit into her past. They suggested that besides Monica Niki Garcia, the reality star was also going by the name Monica Dalgado.
She also has dropped a review for a product as Billy Booby. Monica reportedly used the fake name to give a bad Google review to the car wash that sued her for making a TikTok and damaging their property.
Monica's multiple aliases have led to social media users calling the reality star 'Jen Shah 2.0'. A social media user commented, "She should stick with Billy Booby. It has a nice ring to it!"
Another person said, "Oh she was in DEEP with Jen Shah lmao." A critic noted, "This girl is trouble."
Someone else said, "She learned from the scam goddess." Another Reddit user penned, "Monica is Jen Shah 2.0."
"When she first joined, somebody posted about her limited Insta history. They thought maybe she had scrubbed her past to avoid any digging into her past but maybe she had to start fresh with her “new” name?" a user conjectured.
Monica Garcia knew about Jen Shah's 'telemarketing fraud scheme'
Monica Garcia was Jen Shah's assistant. However, the reality star revealed that she was aware of Shah's "telemarketing fraud scheme."
In a recent episode of 'Watch What Happens Live', Andy Cohen asked about Monica's time as Shah’s assistant as he wanted to know how she found out about Shah's illegal activities.
Monica noted that Shah told her exactly what she was doing. And when Andy asked her exactly how she was told, Monica elaborated, "She told me how her scheme works. And she asked me to be a part of it.
Monica also claimed in 'RHOSLC' that she reached out to a friend in the secret service and turned down Shah.
Monica Garcia sues 'RHOSLC' co-star Heather Gay's beauty lab
'RHOSLC' stars Monica Garcia and Heather Gay turned their on-screen feud into a full-on legal battle. Monica has sued Heather's company, Beauty Lab and Laser, for 'botched injections' on her nose and lips.
The drama kicked off in August when Heather's company filed a lawsuit against Monica for "breach of contract" and "breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing," according to The Sun.
Monica went to the spa in 2019 for lip and nose injections and agreed to pay monthly for the services rendered but never did. However, the legal documents obtained by the outlet have revealed that Monica initially paid $449.
The payment included a setup fee and a $400 down payment for the services. However, the 'RHOSLC' newbie was supposed to pay $200 monthly for 10 months but failed to do so.
Monica countersued Heather’s Beauty Lab and Laser company. In a claim filed on November 7, Monica wants retribution for a breach of independent duty of care, breach of contract, and breach of duty of good faith and fair dealing.
Monica Garcia opens up on strained relationship with her mother Linda
Monica Garcia had an explosive argument with her mother Linda at costar Angie Katsanevas's Easter brunch aired on the show. The mother-daughter duo reportedly have not spoken with each other since then.
During the 2023 BravoCon, Monica admitted, "You know, she makes it easier because she goes online and has a lot of not-nice things to say and retweet." The reality star added, "I think my relationship with her has always been pretty volatile."
However, Monica noted that she didn't regret bringing her mother to the Bravo show because "it's something that people need to see, honestly, to not feel alone."
She elaborated, "My DMs were insane with people that were like, ‘I cried watching that scene because that's my relationship with my parents,’ and I think for that reason alone, I definitely don't regret it."
'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' Season 4 drops on Tuesdays at 9 pm ET on Bravo.
