NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On Thursday, President Joe Biden confronted probing questions from reporters as polls suggested that he is behind former President Donald Trump in five out of six pivotal battleground states.

In the interaction, Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy pressed Biden on the influence of abortion issues in the upcoming 2024 election and the ongoing rivalry between Biden and Trump.

Furthermore, multiple polls have consistently indicated Trump maintaining significant leads over Biden in crucial swing states.

After this incident, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X (formerly Twitter) to share President Biden's remarks and criticized him, stating, "Check the Polls, Jack!"

Evidently, the internet also took a dig at Biden, pointing out his remarks and several previous instances of stumbling on stage.

Sean Hannity slams Joe Biden’s remarks on trailing poll numbers

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “REPORTER: "Youn (sic) don't believe you're trailing in battleground states? BIDEN: "No, I don't."

Hannity's tweet included a link to an article on his official website titled, "CHECK THE POLLS, JACK! Biden, Doocy in Tense Exchange Over Joe's Polling Numbers [WATCH]."

The article reported that Peter Doocy questioned President Joe Biden about recent CNN and New York Times polls revealing his trailing poll numbers compared to 2024 frontrunner Donald Trump.

Doocy initiated, "Why do you believe people should be more concerned about abortion access than your age?"

Biden responded by saying, “I don’t think it’s a comparable comparison.”

Once again, Doocy questioned him about the polls, stating, "Why do you think you're trailing Trump in all these swing-state polls?"

POTUS responded, "Because you don't read the polls — there are 10 polls — eight of them I'm beating him in. You guys only do two. CNN, New York Times, check it out. We'll get you a copy."

Another reporter chimed in asking, “You don't believe you're losing in swing states?"

"No, I do not," Biden exclaimed.

The interview took place shortly after a recent New York Times/Siena College poll disclosed that in a hypothetical 2024 head-to-head matchup, Trump is presently leading Biden in five out of six crucial states.

Internet says ‘Biden doesn’t know he is the President’

After Sean Hannity reported on Joe Biden's exchange with news reporters about his trailing poll numbers, the internet responded with relentless trolling.

One person wrote, “His admin tells him he is ahead so that is what he believes,” while another said, “He does not know where he is let alone what political polls say.  Also, he as most of us do not believe in corporate media!”

Several X users had a similar opinion as one more slammed him saying, “He doesn't know where to stand on a podium or stage.”

One user wrote, “He probably doesn’t know he is President.”

A person simply called out Biden adding, “He doesn't believe it. He doesn't know he is the Pres. Someone has to tell him every day! GET THIS TRAITOR OUT OF OFFICE NOW!!! CONVICT HIM AND HIS FAMILY FOR TREASON!!!!!!!!”

Another user took a swipe at Biden, stating, "Biden only knows what his handlers tell him, so yeah, it's no surprise he thinks he is leading in the polls."

“Senile dementia on display. Truth be told, based on his disastrous record and corruption, he should be behind by 30,” mocked another.
