David Schwimmer is returning in a role that, from the looks of the trailer, seems tailor-made for him. Schwimmer's Sky One workplace comedy series 'Intelligence' is about a maverick American intelligence agent (Schwimmer) and a hapless British computer analyst (Nick Mohammed). Are we ready to watch Schwimmer in the role of yet another dork? Release date

'Intelligence' will premiere on July 15, 2020, on NBC Universal's new streaming service Peacock. 

Plot

According to the official synopsis of the show: "'Intelligence' is a workplace comedy set in the UK's Government Communications Headquarters - a kind of weedier, geekier, more bureaucratic version of MI5 and MI6, where they tackle international and domestic Cyber Crime from a desktop. When a pompous maverick NSA agent Jerry Bernstein (David Schwimmer) comes over from the U.S. to join the team, he enlists an inept and tactless computer analyst Joseph (Nick Mohammed) in a power grab that threatens to disrupt the team's ability to combat cyber terrorism."

Schwimmer requires no introduction. The actor gained worldwide recognition for playing Ross Geller on NBC's 'Friends', a role for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 1995. For his performance of lawyer Robert Kardashian in 'The People v OJ Simpson', he received his second Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie in 2016. He is also known for his work in 'The Pallbearer', 'Kissing a Fool', 'Six Days, Seven Nights', 'Apt Pupil' and 'Band of Brothers'.

Mohammed created 'Intelligence' and also writes the series. The actor and comedian is best known for voicing Piglet in the live-action film 'Christopher Robin'. He is also known for his work on 'The Nutcracker and the Four Realms', and 'The Kid Who Would Be King'.

'Intelligence' is created and written by Mohammed and directed by Matt Lipsey whereas Charlie Leech serves as producer. Mohammed also serves as executive producer alongside Nerys Evans for Expectation, David Schwimmer, and Morwenna Gordon for Sky. Tom Hodges serves as Co-Executive Producer. NBC Universal Global Distribution handles international rights on behalf of Sky Studios. The series is produced by Expectation.
