Host Ken Jeong was back with a Thanksgiving special episode of ‘I can see your voice’ and to make it extra special, gracing the judge’s seat was iconic musician Rick Springfield.  Other stars to take the judges' seats were Taye Diggs, DeRay Davis, Cheryl Hines and Adrienne Houghton.

The contestant playing to win the grand prize was Tillman Robinson. Tillman’s daughter, who is in the Army, has a little son. Tillman wanted to win the money to open a trust fund for his grandson to secure his college education. The undercover secret voices were Gamer, Musical Bars, Stuntman, Camp Counselor, Cruise Ship Singer and Copycat Katy.

Fans waited for Thanksgiving patiently for the episode to air and watch Rick Springfield perform live. One of the patiently-waiting fans was ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Kim Fields as she took to Twitter to write an appreciation post for her childhood icon. She wrote, “Yessss thankful for @rickspringfield givin me Jessie’s Girl LIFE on #ICanSeeYourVoice ! Was dancing and singing thrilled to remember being a member of your fan club!! Come on pink sweatshirt!!! And the voice recording record! #memories #rickspringfield thx @kenjeong for this gem.” Another fan of the ‘Jessie’s Girl’ singer wrote, “when i was a young doctor in training circa 1999, rick was playing somewhere in east hartford. i got home from 36 hours of work. i sat on the porch with my taco bell and beer listening to that voice with thor, the cat. great memory.”

The Australian musician and actor started his solo career with his debut single ‘Speak to the Sky’ reaching the top 10 in Australia in mid-1972. In 1981 his song ‘Jessie's Girl’ became No. 1 hit in both Australia and the US. He also received the Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance for the song. He followed the success with four more top 10 US hits: ‘I've Done Everything for You’, ‘Don't Talk to Strangers’, ‘Affair of the Heart', and ‘Love Somebody’. Springfield's two US top 10 albums are ‘Working Class Dog’ and ‘Success Hasn't Spoiled Me Yet’.

One of the viewers felt even though ‘Jessie’s girl’ is an iconic song, the musician has made many other songs which are just as iconic. “I love you. I love Jessie's Girl but they made you do your classic when you got so many other greats songs. I hope people go check out your newer stuff !! Your music gets better and better !!” Another user wrote:
“Mom: 'I wonder what song Rick will sing.'
Me: 'Jessie's girl obviously! It's the most famous one'
Mom: 'He has plenty of songs okay'
TV: 'Singing Jessie's girl...'"

Another viewer posted a quick update of the show writing, “Gamer and Rick Springfield is doing a duet. Tillman chooses to walk with the $20,000. He did the right thing because Gamer's singing voice was screaming Game Over! #ICanSeeYourVoice.” Tillman took the judge’s advice and opted out of the game. Turned out he made the right decision as Gamer was indeed a bad singer.
