A new sci-fi drama series, 'I Am Not Okay With This', is all set to release on Netflix. Based on the graphic-comics by Charles Forsman, it comes from the producers of 'Stranger Things' and the director of 'The End of the F***ing World'.

Tagged as an “irreverent origin story,” the seven-episode show tells the story of Syd, a teenage girl dealing with high school drama, family pressure and her budding sexuality.

Release date

'I Am Not Okay With This' premieres on Netflix on February 26, 2020.

Plot

The official plot summary reads, "Angsty Syd navigates high school awkwardness, family drama and an unrequited crush on her best friend while trying to rein in her budding superpowers."

Trailers

A 2.34-minute trailer shows a young girl named Sydney running in a blood-soaked dress on the streets. She navigates her school life, changing dynamics with her friends, Stanley Barber (Wyatt Oleff) and Dina (Sofia Bryant) as well as the pressure at home after her father's death. What's striking is that her anger yields telekinetic superpowers.
