Prime Video is all set to welcome the drama series 'My Lady Jane' to its extensive library of contents on Thursday, June 27, 2024.

The comedy show which is written by Jodi Meadows, Brodi Ashton and Cynthia Hand, and directed by Jamie Babbit, will follow Lady Jane Grey's adventures.

The show was mostly shot in England, at places such as Great Chalfield Manor near Bath, Dover Castle in Kent, and Herstmonceux Castle in East Sussex.

The plot of the show will take a new turn as it imagines what might happen if Lady Jane Grey (Emily Bader) survived her horrible death. 

As she flees the wrath of the executioner, the young noblewoman embarks on a voyage filled with romance and adventure. Despite the somber historical background, the show will include plenty of comedic aspects, including witty dialogues and hilarious situations.

The comedy series will also focus on Jane as a strong and independent woman who knows how to get things done.

Emily Bader, a rising American actress, will portray Lady Jane Grey in the series.

Bader graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles with a theatre degree in 2016 and made her theatrical debut at the Geffen Playhouse with 'Our Very Own Carlin McCullough' in 2018.

She landed the lead role in 2021's 'Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin', which gained her prominence amongst viewers.

Her other acting projects include 'Charmed', 'Fresh Kills', 'House of the Witch', 'Stalked by a Reality Star', and 'Game Shakers' among others.

Edward Bluemel, a British actor, will play the English aristocrat Lord Guildford Dudley in the show.

Born in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, Bluemel began acting in a school play at the age of 11 and chose to pursue acting as a career at the age of 17.

In 2015, he graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with a Bachelor of Arts in Acting. Bluemel had his first major television role as Toby Hamilton in the ITV military drama 'The Halcyon'.

He was recognized for his recurrent part on Netflix's 'Sex Education'. His other acting credits include, 'How to Build a Girl', 'Persuasion', 'Ten Percent', 'Belgravia: The Next Chapter' and 'Brave New World' among others.

Rob Brydon will play the English general, admiral, and statesman Lord Dudley in the show.

Robert Brydon Jones, better known as Rob Brydon, was born on May 3, 1965, in Baglan, Wales, and gained notoriety with his parts in dark comedies such as 'Human Remains' and the mockumentary series 'Marion and Geoff'.

He also won a BAFTA nomination for his role as Bryn West in the BBC comedy 'Gavin & Stacey'.

His other acting credits include 'Early Man', 'Days of the Bagnold Summer', 'The Huntsman: Winter's War', 'The Keith Barret Show' and others.
