‘How To Get Away With Murder’ Season 6 Episode 8 makes us speculate on Tegan’s real intentions
Here’s a theory that we haven’t looked at yet. What if Tegan is not what she appears to be? It might sound improbable, considering she has been upfront with Annalise and helped her multiple times. More importantly, her stance in episode 8 seems more legit, when she volunteers to help Nate seek justice for his father’s wrongful death, to the extent that she is even ready to risk her ex-wife’s life (although Cora is out of the country).
However, if we look back a few episodes before and revisit her actions and try hard to read into her character, there is a possibility that Tegan is not all sunshine and rainbows. She has her darkness, hiding in plain sight, pretty much like all other characters in the story.
Our speculations stem from the fact that we don’t know much about Tegan Price, except for that she is a partner at a leading law firm. Apart from the fact that she is a bold and powerful woman with connections, and that she befriended Annalise. But what if her friendship with Annalise is just a move to make her confide in her and reveal all history?
We have been contemplating for a while that the Castillo family is associated with Governor Birkhead and we have seen proof of the same. But so is Tegan. She has been, in her words, ‘under Jorge Castillo’s thumb’ ever since she lost her family and needed the support, a career, etc. And knowing the kind of powerful and influential man Jorge is, it would not be a surprise if we find out that Tegan is a pawn in his game.
It is highly possible that Tegan is placed as a mole in Annalise and K5’s lives to only extract the facts and get them killed. Not that Tegan’s actions or behaviors so far have reflected anything dark or sinister, there are always chances of the reality showing itself sooner or later, because, as classic as it with HTGAWM, no character is pristine or devoid of any darkness. All said and done, it would be disappointing to see a woman like Tegan Price being a player or a perpetrator, especially if it involves Annalise.
