The latest episode of ‘House of the Dragon’ took a ten-year time jump and introduced us to a new cast. Emma D’Arcy is now playing the older version of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen while Olivia Cooke is seen portraying the role of Queen Alicent Hightower. Over the last couple of weeks, we have seen the differences between Rhaenyra and Alicent reaching a whole new level, especially after it was revealed that the Princess lied to the Queen. In the last week’s episode, Queen Alicent made it clear that the war is afoot and she is ready to take charge.

However, in tonight’s episode, she did something so cruel that she faced the wrath of almost all the fans. The opening sequences of ‘The Princess and the Queen’ saw Princess Rhaenyra giving birth to her third child. As soon as she gave birth, one of the servants came in and said that the Queen wanted to see the baby right away. Rhaenyra was really angry and decided to take the child herself because she didn’t want the child anywhere near Alicent. She got up and started walking in excruciating pain. Luckily, her husband Ser Laenor helped her in taking the child to the Queen’s chambers and was really annoyed that the Queen did such a disgusting thing.

Rhaenyra couldn’t even walk properly, but she made her way to the Queen’s chambers and Alicent was pretty concerned for Rhaenyra’s health. As soon as the scene aired, social media went berserk and started to bash the character for being such an inconsiderate “b***h”. One of the fans said, “ALICENT I HATE YOU”. Another fan said, “Alicent has lost her mind”. Another fan tweeted, “She literally JUST brought this baby into the world. Can’t even get stitched up first”.

“Alicent is so vile for requesting Rhaenyra to bring her baby immediately after giving birth,” wrote another user. “What a b***h she wants her babies to not look like a Targaryen,” said another social media user. “Oh no, don't act concerned now! You literally commanded to see MY BABY...IMMEDIATELY,” wrote another fan.

Another social media user tweeted, “Alicent is one sick woman. Not even two seconds after that baby is popped out and she wants to get the tea.”

The sequence ended with King Viserys meeting his grandson for the first time and playing with him. Alicent saw the baby and told Laenor that he should keep trying because one day he would be able to have his own babies as well. There are rumors that Ser Harwin is the father of Rhaenyra’s children and Queen Alicent knows about it.

This was not the only time that Alicent and Rhaenyra went after each other. A council meeting also saw them getting into an argument. However, Rhaenyra tried diffusing the situation by laying out a proposal that would strengthen their relationship and end their quarrel. She proposed that his oldest son and Alicent’s daughter should get married to keep the house intact. Viserys was really happy with the proposal and was even thinking about it, but Alicent didn’t want that.

But we don’t think that this proposal will be needed anymore because Rhaenyra and her entire family have now moved to Dragonstone as she realized that she has no friends in Westeros.

The beef between them is growing stronger and it will only lead to more carnage.
