'House of the Dragon' Episode 2: Who is Sonoya Mizuno's Mysaria, and does she die by the end of Season 1?
One of the key characters in 'House of the Dragon' is Sonoya Mizuno's Mysaria. The character first appeared in the pilot in the form of Daemon Targaryen's (Matt Smith) mistress. Like Sibel Kekilli's Shae from 'Game of Thrones', the two come from the nine Free Cities of Essos and work as prostitutes in King's Landing. In the second episode, 'The Rogue Prince', Mysaria plays a crucial role in the aftermath of King Viserys I (Paddy Considine) snubbing his brother and picking his daughter Princess Rhaenyra (Milly Alcock) over him as his successor.
It is revealed that Daemon stole a dragon's egg and leaves a note announcing that he was taking Mysaria as his second wife and that they were expecting a child. It was also revealed that they intended to put the egg in the cradle which is a House Targaryen custom. This doesn't sit will with Viserys who sends Otto Hightower (Rhans Iferys), but the egg is eventually retrieved by Rhaenyra.

Who is Mysaria in the books?
In George RR Martin’s works, Mysaria is described as a beautiful dancing girl when she first meets Daemon in King’s Landing. Her skin is described as “as pale as milk” earning her the name 'White Worm'. On the show, she is seen wearing white, perhaps to just serve as a neat reference. In the books, she also becomes pregnant with Daemon's child, and the rest of the storyline is what the show has adapted in Episode 2. With Viserys enraged by the fact that the dragon egg was stolen, he exiles his brother and sends Mysaria back to Essos. On the way, she loses her child.
Over the course of the events in the book, Mysria dies a rather gruesome death, but the show is yet to reach that point. In all likelihood, she may be one of the characters to die by the end of Season 1 for her role in the famed Dance of the Dragons clash between Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) and Prince Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney).
